You said yourself the design has been 'revamped' so how can you also say it looks the same? That makes no sense. And why is it so starnge to think this would be a horrible move? I dont care if they have been traced or not, they still look cool and all of the so called proof of the tracing that I saw was fake and the person who posted it had edited her lines to make it fit the photo! It leaves a mystery to it all and I like it. You guys already have it posted EVERYWHERE that you will not toloerate art theft so I dont think anyone could miss that message. And I dont know who made the new versions of the design on the horses and ponies desplayed on the front page but if they are insulted then I am not going to lie- I dont care. They should keep the design original then they would not have to feel insulted because there would not be comments like mine<3

yes some have stated that the disigns will be better, there might be a mistake or two, and some might get upset about that, im not to bothered about the designs matching but most do

I'll say for about the 20th time- I rotated the legs, head, etc on that overlay because many, many, many tracers do the same thing. And that's what Equi did when tracing the photo. Also, people have posted Harp's overlays tons of times- those fit perfectly without being resized or edited at all.

Please don't come here and debate if you're just going to ignore half of the proof and reasoning given to you.

Yes, the pony design had some extra detail added in it to bring out the design Equi had in mind. How can you simply not care if they are traced or not? The proof is in the pudding, and if you don't think they're traced then you should really look again. While you may have to enlarge the lineart to fit on the overlay, when you draw lineart I usually draw it at least 2x the size it comes out as. When I work with CS pets I'm zoomed out 300%+. So yes, you do have to make them a bit larger to make it fit. The fact that they do fit almost perfectly in some cases is disconcerting and since we do not allow users to do that, why should we have lines which have been shown to be traced?

While we do have messages about it everywhere, by keeping the old lines around we're showing that it's fine. Tracing a photograph is fine, because a retired CS staff did it. That's not what I want the members to think. We uphold ourselves on our integrity and respect to artists and that includes photographers like myself.

I'd actually ask for you to keep them, since it is unique for the horses, but I can see the trouble.
I do like the new drafts, so I will do half a vote yes, half a vote no (in my head), and yes I like the new drawings, they are pretty, but I do like the uniqueness of the other horses, and wouldn't that just be taking away Equinmanage's drawings?

Just wanted to point out that this doesn't make sense ^^; if they're better, they're not consistent. (It's like saying that an artist that has improved their style is consistent.) Better, sure, but not consistent ^^;

the same but improved? thats like saying "oh yes, the design is the same but theres a big red line across the middle" it makes no sense

You see 'improved' I see ruined.

You may think they're "ruined", but 65% of Chicken Smoothie seems to think otherwise. It's a matter of personal preference, and I would think you'd want CS to make the choice that would make the majority of its users happy.

Myself, I'm immensely grateful that Tess allowed us to take a vote at all. I was on PowerPets.com back when they changed half their pet designs without any input from users at all, and I hated it!

if I was an artist here, I wouldn't want to be remembered for my designs. I would want to be remembered for the art, the new shape i had created. Some people are saying "its exactly the same just on a different horse" the words SAME and DIFFERENT create a paradox. It's not the same BECAUSE its on a different horse. Quite frankly if all the equimagine change, even the rare ones will be nothing but commons to me. And think about the people with hoards! They will have spent months maybe even a year trying to gather equimagine because they are different and they love their shape. They may have had to go though unfair trades an give rares for commons. And for what, to have the things they wanted so bad changed just as they were within their grasp!
