I dont think that they should change the lines, so far i have not seen any evidence that they are traced, until i see some i refuse to belivie so, changing the lines is in a way (remember this is just my opinion) is disrespectful to Equimagine to just remove lineart that has been draw during their own time and then just throw it away! you can say they traced it, but i will be covinced when there is proof, but until then, saying that you think they traced them if you have no proof is annoying, please do correct me if im wrong, also like mentioned before, some people have large hoards of the old lines and to remove them would be unfair to them and for sure would make them upset, secondly if it was decided not to be changed its good all round, those who support the change wont be bothered too much because they have manged for the whole of CS's existance so why should they get all in a fuss if its decided not to go ahead?
to sum it up:
its best for it not to go ahead because you can't miss what you never had, and those with horads or have a prized pet that consit of those lines will be happy and pleased, if it is allowed to go ahead, then you risk upsetting a large number of the CS community, more people are happy (including those supporting the change since as i have said already, you can't miss what you never had) if does not go ahead.

On a completely unrelated note: It would be nice to see the lineart change, so that we have pets that are more uniform in style to some of the other species here on CS. I've seen other pet sites do it all the time! Some that I've been on for 7+ years. And you know what happens every now and then?
Linearts change!
A new artist gets added to the staff, and produces a fantastic new coloration for a species that many other artists and staff members love, or they're hired to come up with a complete rehaul of a pet species' design. Ultimately, there are always people who aren't going to be pleased with it.
But you know what? We here on Chicken Smoothie are awfully lucky Tess and the rest of the staff are allowing us to vote! There are MANY other pet sites who do not give their users that choice. The fact that we can even have a debate about all of this is absolutely fantastic! So thank you Tess, for letting us hash everything out.
Irregardless of the outcome, I am happy about that! C:
