Ayngel wrote:I have a question, sorry if it sounds rude or anything; But why do you all care about wolves so much? From what I've seen its just because they're 'pretty'. I mean, this thread is about saving wolves of course but the only reason I have seen all together that people want them to be saved is because they have pretty coats/eyes. Theres more important species that people don't even bother to learn about because they're simply not attractive to the eyes, such as the surinam toads, etc.
Personaly, I love wolves because they're magnificent creatures, outside and in. I love the way they hunt in packs and work together. And they always seem so proud and strong to me.

I encourage wolf hunting if it is good for the environment, has become too close to people and has become a danger, or if it is humane, safe and legal. I also support owning wolf pelts for educational purposes. In fact I really want one so I can teach my friends a bit more about wolves and I also want one because I'm interested in starting a wolves support club in my school and I think it would help for people to be able to actually touch the pelts.

yes wolf pelts can be great for education things and reference, though they're also good for plenty of other things haha, education isn't the only thing you can get out of them and i personally don't use my pelts for reference/education too often - especially my wolf pelt since unfortunately he was the victim of a poor skinning job and isn't in good shape at all. :c i prefer them to be left untouched for the most part, anyway, since rough petting and touching in general can and will damage if done too often [the oils and such on your skin will damage the fur resulting in it becoming brittle/falling out and cause discoloration over time]. i myself find my taxidermy mounts themselves to be more useful when it comes to referencing and education, but unfortunately i don't have a wolf just yet.
though of course money is an issue lmao

I love taxidermy, too but I don't know where I'd put a wolf. I do have an ermine, which is great because none of my friends know what it is until I show them. I only really pet my ermine every once in a while when I'm showing my friends what it is. My one friend even named it Snowy so now it's stuck with that. But I really want a wolf pelt because everyone thinks you can't be an extreme animal lover yet still own the pelt of the animal you love.

yeah, space is a problem. i have barely any room for anything in my room due to the three mounts that i have already, but i could find some room for a wolf of course hah
but yes, i own the pelts of animals i love, i mean, you have toove them when they're dead, too!
also i am seriously in love with your ermine gah
@ cindy - i do know that a lot of people here donate, but i myself don't. other than that, though, i don't know if there really is anything you could do to help wolves. clubs really don't do much tbh.
