Usually once they do it once, they don't do the same colouration twice - so if this is the only "grulla" we get I will be sad ... because it's not a grulla.
but it doesn't have to be a certain type of horse -- it can just be a horse.
What's with all the late night liquored phone calls?
I don't think your lover likes me at all.

"Mouse Dun" is the British English term for "Grulla".
"Mouse Grey" appears to be being used by some people to refer to Mouse Dun and others to refer to a dark dappled grey horse. If you do an image search on "mouse grey" on Google, you'll see both grullas/duns and greys. No wonder we're getting into confusion territory here.
I don't think it's heated at all - just a term that's being used in two different ways by different people.
Thus they are deferring it to a totally different colour. Mouse Gray cannot have dun characteristics as the registry states. Dun, or Grulla, can and must have those characteristics.
@Bulldogge beat., I am with you on that. For years I have studied the equestrian lineage and whatnot and don't like it when someone, or several, get the genealogy and colours messed up with another. This horse is the Mouse Gray, the white will probably be either Cremello or Perlino (although I don't even see where it can be Perlino as the muzzle is pink (Cremello)) and the other foal leans heavily towards Rabicano (although it's a funny/odd coloured Rabicano).

Right, but as somebody who grew up in England, when I hear "mouse gray" I think "mouse dun" and thus "grulla". Grulla also does come in a lot of different shades, some bluer/colder and some redder/warmer than others. I'm still leaning towards the Hancock-style blue roan, though, which can have that reddening, although I can't find a good image of it right now.
I'm seeing perlino on the white because the legs are darker. Perlinos don't always have dark muzzles, cremellos never have dark legs.
And some of us find this discussion of colors fun

. Mouse gray people, do you have a picture of exactly what color you're envisioning on a real horse? Somebody?

The real horse is a bit lighter, but the light bay points match up to me :3
Right pattern, wrong base colouration .. again.
I am done though- My disappointment isn't going to change anything.
And no, I am not going to just trade it off- that argument is done and tired.
I like having a complete collection thanks much.

See, the only thing that bugs me about it being roan is that it doesn't have the roaning. I would love to see a blue roan (my Blue Velvet was a blue roan Mustang with a black base), but I want it with the roaning. Personally I'm just gonna wait and see what the artist says it is and go with that. It looks a lot like a lot of colors, but not completely like any one. Can't see if it has a dorsal stripe or not, so dun is up in the air. It's not the right base for grulla. No roaning. And every horse I have ever seen called mouse gray has been light gray. So I got nothing to do but wait. XD

I would not call that horse a "dun roan" on that photo. it has no dorsal. It looks more bay going grey. I think someone just didn't know how to label their horse coloration on google. :3
Its (the CS horse) really not a dun roan, or any kind of roan. It's not a grulla either. Both don't really fit
either criteria. If anything, I would say that its a bay going grey.....but only sort of but not really. The foal is wrong too if it was.
So I'm just going to leave it as a "fantasy colored natural"

No, I don't play CS anymore. Yes, I play on other sites. No, I will not sell my custom item or pet.
