Just because there's a lot of the same sort of thing doesn't mean it's theft-proof. If it matches up, it's theft. Also, good luck getting a crystal clear photo of a horse in less than a minute. Get back to me when you're done.

In case any of you were having doubts, here's an overlay where I rotated individual parts like the legs, head, and back. If you're wondering why I did that, it's a thing tracers do to hide their theft.

I sure can't, I'm not a photographer. (I don't even own a camera, not even on my phone XP )

But I guess we can agree to disagree.

The issue with agreeing to disagree with you is you directly insulted an art form that the majority of people see as very much unique. You directly insulted MY art form.
The topic of photography should be dropped, yes. But do not ask someone to agree to disagree with you when you're insulting something directly.

OT: This entire discussion shouldn't have been made in the first place. The plan should've been simply executed, like has been done with line-arts in the past. This topic has created nothing but a headache and bad feelings between so many members, it's ridiculous.

Agreed all the way around.
I am not a professional or even amateur photographer by any means but I do know first hand from painful experience how incredibly hard it is to get a perfect picture of any animal doing exactly what you want them to do, from the right angel, in the exact perfect lighting, etc. Horses, Dogs, Fish, Cats, etc do NOT just look like that in pictures unless you know what you are doing or are damn lucky.

To not consider it an art form and not pay homage to their hard work and dedication is your choice. To voice that on a forum such as this is downright rude, criminal, and in indescribably poor taste.

I am seeing sides of people I've been quite civil to downright friendly with in the past that I honestly don't like. I wish this thread would never have been made but the damn horses would have just been changed with a firm "Because I said so!" from Tess and that be that.

As it is, I can not feel the same way about so many people I've heard from on this thread. Every time I see them around the forums from this moment forward, I will have certain comments and statements pop into my mind. It WILL drastically affect my mood towards trading and everything else I'm afraid as it's just the way I am. And this makes me deeply sad. D:

Guys, since the mods aren't on to clean up this mess yet, I feel the need to remind you all that discussions about what art theft is, whether photography is or isn't an art form, whether or not Equi traced and any badmouthing do not belong on this thread and will be deleted.

I know they're more or less relevant, but really, only discussion about whether we should switch or not belongs on here - and people need to make the decision for themselves, not be bullied back and forth. Please, respect both sides of the argument, it's basic debate manners.

Agreed, they should have just changed the horses and not gotten our opinion. If we lost members over it, so be it, there will be more.

Agreed... might be best if Tess just locks this thread but allows for the voting if that is possible. All this has done is cause fighting on CS and a lot of hurt feelings on both sides. I understand wanting the general opinions about the switch or not, but I would think it is time to lock the thread to avoid more conflict between people..

Well.As I've stated twice, I love the unicorns, and would hate to see them as normal horses with horns.

But, will the unicorns be getting new lineart? If so, I might vote yes.

But it doesn't seem to matter right now.

As far as I know the unicorns and the donkeys would also both be getting their own unique lineart, but it hasnt been completed yet, I think there is something about this on the first post

Please stop arguing about whether or not it is or is not theft. While the issue of the traced lines is important people are being rude and arguing and this is not allowed.
