That sounds like a good idea to me. I'm hoping for a revote anyways so we can see more of what's being changed. It would be nice to be able to get more people comfortable with the idea of the change beyond "Blarg! art theft wrong!"

We picked these horses out ourselves, as dream pets, as collection pets, as hoards. We worked so hard to get them. We've traded our most valuable fodder for them. We've collected them for so long because we loved the lineart and the original designs so much, and now you're telling me that they will never be the same again? That shouldn't be. Changing something that someone else loves, even if the change will do good for the site, I will never support.
I'm sorry if the above paragraph sounded rude. I just had to get that off of my chest.

I honestly am really excited to see a more refined version of the horses done. In all honesty although I like equimagine's line art, a lot of her horses sort of feel like rough drafts to me. And it seems like the markings will be done in more detail which make the horses much more interesting to me. I'm a fan of all the current artists and I'm excited to see what they do.

I really like the arabian line idea above too^^ That way the items will still fit and everyone will be able to have a little more variety.

If this were a problem, Tess would not have let us vote. She would have just done it.

Besides, neither of the admins seem too concerned. At this point, I think that this "art theft" thing can be put to rest.
It can never be put to rest - for every day that we use those illegal lines, the chance that we get found out gets higher - plus it's horribly immoral to use someone elses work in such a major way for YEARS and not tell them about it. I'd rather have the horses on the new lines then not have them AT ALL.
