Anyways, I guess in a nutshell most opinions are:

YES Voters opinions:
- like the Yulynh lineart better
- don't want potentially traced lines to remain on the site
- uniformity of lineart would make the site more organized
- also assures easy dressup for pets
- less work to convert items to fit different horse la's

NO Voters opinions:
- they like the Equimagine lineart better
- changing the lineart feels like it will change the pet's identity
- want to keep as a reminder of CS history

Any opinions I missed out on?

Then what is this thread for? Why ask for opinions if you don't want them.

Isn't the point of a discussion thread to discuss? It gives both sides opportunity to convince the other they're in the right. If this topic isn't for discussion, why even have it? Why not just lock the topic and have a poll?

Thank you Sol lol

I think most of the No Voters also like current Equi designs, as well as the lineart. Some feel that re-doing them and polishing the designs would take away the overall feel to the pet/pets in question.

My personal feelings on equimagines designs are that I would probably hoard a few of them, if they were re-done by sorren, or another CS artist. In their current states, some are not of the highest quality when compared with the rest of the CS pets.
Her staff PPS was cute though, so she is a good artist over all.
Thats just my personal opinion. To me, I want the change to go through because I want to see the designs re-done and polished on the new lineart. And, I never really liked the equi linearts xD. But mostly, I'd love to see the original designs on the new lineart :)

I was only listing the opinions I've so far seen. In regards to the discussion of the tracing, I think we're ok to say our stand is yes to the change because we feel the lineart tracing issue is too obvious to ignore. But I've felt that to debate and discuss about solely the tracing issue is not the point of the thread n_n; As it says in the first post, we're being asked if we want to update the lineart or not. Not if we should remove them because they were traced.

I guess in short, it's not a debate thread, but it's a place where we can express what we think about this change. I suppose it can't be helped that eventually it would turn into a debate, but from what I can tell, that was the original point of the thread -- just to ask what we thought, not to debate it with each other. There's a difference, I belive. c:

HONESTLY I don't think we should HAVE to discuss anything else. What does it MATTER if we like the old art if it's STOLEN? It shouldn't even be considered relevant.

It wasn't "STOLEN" if you'd read Tess' quote on the first page. Using something as a reference and tracing are two entirely different things, I could draw a horse standing and someone could compare it to any number of images of standing horses. Just because it has the same pose doesn't mean it was stolen. All I've seen you posting about is how it was "stolen" AFTER its been said multiple times that it was not stolen, CS is not in legal trouble from it, and to stop bringing it up. Sorry but I'm sick of seeing you post the same thing over and over. This is supposed to be a discussion, not a place for people to keep saying the same stuff over and over after being told to stop.

^ Not all of the lines were copied - only the foals are definite, and equimagine acknowledged that and replaced them, but the other lines are still viewed with suspicion because of their history, despite her replacing those lines.

Tess has said she doesn't mind discussion and a bit of debate, so long as it's kept polite and respectful to all (including equimagine, Yulyhn, and people who disagree with you) and isn't far off topic or deliberately inflammatory.

@ Sol, I've also seen people concerned about the old horses losing value through the line change, so that might be an opinion to add to the 'No' column. :3

I really, really, REALLY don't care what Tess said. I'm not blind. You've SEEN the evidence, I know you have. The fact you can look at stolen art and claim it isn't simply beause YOU like the art is what's wrong here.
I keep saying the same thing over and over because no one is even LISTENING. My posts get deleted, people keep saying the theft doesn't matter, etc, etc, etc.

It WAS stolen. I don't care about the legal trouble or whether or not CS is in it. It is ethically WRONG. It is a moral thing, not a legal thing. Not everything is about legal vs not legal, but right vs wrong. And using someone else's work for your own profit without their permission is inherently wrong.
