i think the change would be scary yes, loosing all of your favorite line arts but change is worth a try i guess... since these are pixalated thingies and if you love the designs so much then save the pictures to your computed/tablet it's that simple. i love the draft horses but it's kinda exciting to see the change!

Sorry just everytime I come on here that's all I am seeing when all people said was they like the old lines better. Even if the lines change they are maybe keeping some of the rarer ones, so for the 'copy right' issue everyone is worrying about won't matter which way. The ones they are keeping are ones that everyone is saying is 'copy right' can we just stop this now, please or at least leave other alone about it who are just saying they like the older lines better?
This is a discussion - a debate. Why shouldn't we try and persuade others to vote for our side? When it has to do with something as important as this, it's asking way too much just to state "I'm for/against the change" and be done with it. The copyright issue is a big reason to change the designs over, so imo it should be included.
Yes I do understand this, but if it was something that needed to be done then Tess would be change ALL of them. As a matter for them keeping the PPS the same or the rainbow mane means it really does not matter for the copy right part with the change. I maybe wrong with this as it's still all up in the air with what they will do with them. If the just change the lines a bit like also stated it would not matter. But if they keep those serten ones the same and change the others it will still not help with the copy right issue everyone is bring up now. That is all that I wanted to state. As well as this is a poll for people to pick what THEY want not for them to be pushed to one side after getting told by another user about something that they know little about, mean that the user they are talking too might have no background in. That is all I wanted to point out.
I believe the rainbow mane and pps's would get their own unique lineart - but not be kept the same. I don't know what will happen in the end, but at the moment this is the idea.

✨ Everything I have on CS is for sale for Flightrising! Desperately looking for the familiars above. ✨
Pet trades accepted as well.

How is it not a big deal?
If it was an extremely big deal, something would have been done about it a long time ago.
Tess didn't even mention it until it was brought up here.
oh what so we can break copyright laws (that are created by rather important international comities) if an admin on a children's website chooses not to mention it for a few years?

I think my decision in the vote is looking at the actual quality of the designs, disregarding any copyright claims, art theft, the like.
Especially the wave pony, I mean, look how fantastic simply the design looks, and that was my deciding factor. These are improved designs while they are still the same. It's enhancing the quality of the pets on this site.

That's not what I meant. I've read that the photo's owners have been contacted. If it causes problems with them, then fine. But the lines won't be changed before they know anyways, so if they're fine with it, then it isn't a problem. And the tracing was unintentional. Also, not ALL of equimagine's lines are traced, although some clearly are.
(sorry if I was misinformed about the notification part)

I don't really want to debate this, not saying I'm right, but simply wanted to share my point and not have to defend it. Try to be constructive when criticizing it please.
Going to bed, so don't expect another response from me tonight. I probably won't be able to find whatever has been said in the morning |D

Ah yes, and if you're on a jury, don't vote to convict the murderer *just* because you think it's unethical to kill people.
They're stolen. Theft is immoral. It makes CS look AWFUL and is a smear in the books. It makes me as a player feel dirty.
But if you want me to not just vote because it's unethical, sure.

Reason: Insulting the artist is not acceptable behaviour
They/Them pronouns only.

But if you want me to not just vote because it's unethical, sure. I've disliked Equi's jittery poorly drawn lines since I first signed up. She simply doesn't have the skill to match up withsome of CS's other talented artists and they look out of place beside legitimately well drawn pets.
Because accidentally using traced photo's is the same thing as killing someone.
I really enjoy the second set of lines she made, I totally agree that the first ones aren't that great.

This is exactly what I used to decide my vote (even if I voted the other way). I prefer the old line-art for these designs, so I voted to keep it. Anything else is Tess' business to work out, not mine.

That is awful to say about her

I bet she tried her best. She took her time to design and draw these for the site, traced or not.
