I'd also like to know! Why are you guys tearing into Equi's art??? :what:

I'm not certain if nickjr is discussing the same issues, but there is VERY strong evidence that Equimagine copied some of her horses directly from photographs.

That would not solve the problem as said on the front page.

Which one? The item problem? I rarely use items on my horses anyway. But if they, instead, made a brand new set of horses and ponies to replace just the old Equimage (if the copyright laws really are in the way) that would be a good compromise for those who don't care that much for Yulynh horses and those who care about the tracing problem.

Thank you. The PPS lines are just awkward in my opinion. Anywho I agree it would be best, I'm tired of all the arguing

Sighs
Again, they are not hard to come by. I have like 300 sitting in my account, if not more. No one wants them because they have no value at all. You can't decrease the value any more, it's already pitifully low. The new, improved designs will improve the value if anything, because the new designs are a lot cleaner and more appealing.

This. I used to hoard them but grew tired of having so many so I dumped almost 300 of them into a trade group. Do you know how often I actually trade any of them away in a fair trade? Never. I always have to overpay when I offer them because they are valued so low. Part of why I'm in support of this is because I think having the designs updated will breathe new life into the designs and make users more exited to collect them. And if that doesn't happen, well, they won't be any more unwanted then they are right now.

...Right, now that I've gotten my Classics nerd on, maybe we can find a better analogy. c:

To me, this is like a historic house. A landmark that all the townspeople love. However, it's shaky on its foundations, there are termites in the wood, and some of the old beams are being eaten away by 'rot'. (All of these blows are the many reasons for changing the lineart - aesthetics, sharing items, the question of if something has been traced or not, etc.) Now we have a choice - either do nothing and just hope the house doesn't fall down around our ears, or we can call in some builders to fix the problem.

The builders won't be able to do an exact replica. But they'll be able to get the house much safer to live in, and much more beautiful to boot. It just won't be quite the same.

We will still be able to look at photographs of what the original house was like. People will remember what it is like. People can talk about it and share those photographs with others. It's just that we decided to repair the house so we could live in it more comfortably.

I think that's entirely acceptable for a house that we don't have to worry about. c:

The problem with your house analogy is that we don't know the house has termites or is rotted... We simply heard a creak and know it is old.. and we want to go build a whole other house???? Based on what?

Furthermore.. We don't own the house. The owner of the house has simply asked us if we want to redecorate or not.. and people are beginning to panic and ask for another house altogether.. just "in case" there are termites.. .. and just "in case' something rotted... there is a total lack of information on the foundation of the house.. so let it go..

Just let the owner know if you want it to be redecorated... It's really that simple..

I think it's a wee bit more than just a creak. It's more like I stepped the wrong way in the attic and ended up with one foot in the upstairs bathroom:

http://25.media.tumblr.com/eaa1e085c033 ... 4_1280.png

In any case, we have the 'landlord' offering to fix it. I don't see why we shouldn't take our landlord up on that offer. c:

This would be a great point IF the landlord said something was broken.. But she never said that.. the crazy village people are saying that. They are running through the town with pitchforks and scaring the children.. All the landlord is asking is do we want to redecorate..... to make things look more uniform.

It is fine to have an opinon for or against the new lineart.. but dont make your opinion based on something you " think" may have happened.. but you do not have all of the facts on. Your pic is of one horse... and you don't know what happened..

I will worry when there is something to worry about... Until then.. Tess asked my opinion regarding the uniformity of the horses.. and I voted.. It is that simple..

I just Have a question:

If you do update the horse lines, will it change the ones that already existor will it leave them as is?
Because the equimagine lines a worth a little more since they are older and are much different than the current ones, and I also realky want to keep those, since I have a collection.

(pleasenforgive me if im wrong about the rarity part)
But thank you for your consideration! <3

-removed-

That's the 'issues' people are talking about~ some people think that they were traced. (Which, two look like they are imo, buuut, everyone has different opinions~)

Wait what? I only said that equimagine was retired and that last time I checked we couldn't use her linearts since she's retired xD;

And the evidence pointed only to the first set of linearts (plus a unicorn); people were asking what was wrong with the second set (which was made in response to the evidence against the first set)
Spread the word to end the word, because discrimination based on perceived or actual IQ/"intelligence" is no better than discrimination based on race, gender, etc.

Context, consistency, and clear antecedents are golden.

I had no idea they were considering this.

I love the oldest horse linearts the best, and I don't want my horses to change. I sacrificed pets in a trade for these horses because I loved them just how they were, so I feel like it's ruining it if they are all changed. I loved that lineart because the horses looked so mighty and awesome. Don't get me wrong, I love the newest horse lineart (and is my second favorite), but I just don't want my pets I already adopted to suddenly change. I don't care personally about whether or not items fit, though I understand why people have that concern.

To be honest, I'm really disappointed that there are so many more yes votes than no. I'm going to be really sad if they change all of the old horses, and it will make it less enjoyable.

I don't mind either way. c:
i like the new lines, I like the old lines, and I'm really curious as to the new unicorn and zebra linearts. c:
I'm in love with the drafts, anyway. <3

I just don't get why people have to be so rude about the whole thing. :/
