I know someone will be unhappy regardless... it just really hits other equine collectors and myself more than the other players. I think the people who really love the site equines and all their quirks are the ones voting no and all the people who focus on other species or just on the site overall are for the changes. And since the equines are not the most popular species, the minority that loves them is going to be overruled by the indifferent majority and it just kinda stinks.

exactly. I am personally par tof this minority and I feel that this change is just very bad for the small group that loves these guys. I hope that there will be exceptions because I would hate to totally lose one of my favorite CS line arts.

Read the front page. Exceptions for the Buckskin PSS and Rainbowmane were considered.

That would not solve the problem as said on the front page.

Which one? The item problem? I rarely use items on my horses anyway. But if they, instead, made a brand new set of horses and ponies to replace just the old Equimage (if the copyright laws really are in the way) that would be a good compromise for those who don't care that much for Yulynh horses and those who care about the tracing problem.

Yes, but other people use items on horses, well we shall have to wait till they end the pole.

Just like the old, sitting cat lineart. They changed that, but all those cats stayed the same. And I do not see the need to change them. I know I'd be very unhappy if you did.

So I just say keep the horses. They can be a relic of CS's past, and the rarity will increase. Why fix it if it isn't broken? ;)

Wow. Just wow. This is the best statement I have read so far. I have to agree with you. I know i will miss them like nuts since my first pound pet was one of the changeing ponies. I really dont understand why on earth we need to change them

This is an excellent point! The 'warrior' cats were just as much of or even more of a copywrite issue than traced images, and they are still on the site and very very beloved. If the equines get changed to both protect copyright and to consolidate lineart, by that argument the sitting cats should get the same treatment.

@nickjr
I thought CS had the rights to the lines as well as the designs she made for the site. Is there an official agreement somewhere?

Nope--take a look here for the explanation on warrior cats

Context, consistency, and clear antecedents are golden.

So your'e asking the artists to draw a whole new set of lines, greyscale it, them put designs on it, just so it can be retired and make a couple hundred people happy. These are PEOPLE, not a computer drawing these. That would be extremely selfish to make someone do that.

I voted yes because it keeps special lineart and the rainbow mane could look better. What about the zebras? Weren't they equimagine's too?
