Well the tracing is only one reason for the change.
The other issues that seem to be the main topic of the first post will still exist.
As I said, if we are going to do this everytime we change the lines they should stay the way they are. Tracing is irrelevant to the question that was asked.

CS was born in April 2008, under the name Silent Wolf Kennelz. Pets weren't account bound then, and the first set to be released were the 08 Advent litter. They were not individual pets either, they all shared a common code. It wasn't until July 2008 that Chicken Smoothie made individual pets that could later be added to user accounts.
You can read more about CS's early history here: http://solloby.deviantart.com/art/Sollo ... -108315311
That is only the 2008 chapter though, so Equimage's lines aren't mentioned there. I guess they are in another chapter. They will always be a part of CS, and will be forever remembered. Updating the designs to Yulynh lines won't erase CS's history, it will just add another chapter to the book. And the original artwork won't be forgotten, they will surely be recorded somewhere.

At first there were the Greeks, the old and most powerful of the time, then along came to Romans and tore down the Greek empire, basically taking the Greek gods and changing them. If we didn't have the technology we had today, most of the Greek's history would be lost. It's the same with the horses, if we change them, then our history, the history of CS will be changed as well. Imagine how confused the new members would be when the older members would be taking about 'the great horse change' or something like that. There would be no history or anything to dignify that these horses even existed! Besides, the newer horses aren't exactly my favorite of CS pets. I personally like the older design better.
I have to agree with you. The change would cause so much confusion and dissaray and the newer lines to me are nice, but the old ones show where our CS roots are. If we change that, we change our whole history and face. I also tried my hand at copying the designs onto the newer Yulugh lines with some of my fave fully grown ponies and they dont have the same stunning affect as they do on the older lines. I am offically saying no to this and I hope others can realize how it will affect us.
>note that i dont mind the draft change. The new lineart idea is way better than the old one in my opinion.

To those who say the tracing issue is irrelevant: how on earth is that irrelevant? It is one of the main points of mine and many others' decisions, given that if the owners of the photographs that were traced decided to file a complaint, the images of the horses themselves would be deleted and we'd have nothing left of them.
