Ya. (I have a bad habit of needing to reply when people quote me) I mean we all know that "Items and uniform" is not the problem here. I just think that variety in horses is one of the better points to CS, and altering them is unfair to those who collect them.

AJ Gamer wrote:That's not my point Art. My point is that there are loads of horse poses! Maybe Equi was thinking at the top of her/his head and didn't really know there were pictures of horses in those poses! Where is the proof that she/he traced it? I don't see any around here...

I'm sure she was completely aware of the fact that there are thousands of pictures of horses in that position. However, her lineart isn't going to coincidentally match one given picture to point that it looks traced. There's plenty of pictures that have been posted that show striking similarities between her lineart and a picture. EDIT; As in those posted above. Each of her linearts is compared to an image that is matches.

This has already been pointed out... The image Yul's lineart is compared to isn't even the same gait as her lineart...

Variety won't be much of a problem, though, and I think people are missing that.
If the lines are redone, we will have;
- horse lines
- pony lines
- new draft lines
- new unicorn lines
- new donkey lines
- maybe new zebra lines

That's a lot of variety!

    Just ... ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
    I simply can't bear the thought of not having out lovely Equimagine horses and ponies around anymore. *sob*
    That's just me - many people tell me that I'm "allergic to change". And I think I've made it pretty obvious that I don't often appreciate change from anything I've gotten used to and attached to.
    Ever since I registered on this website ( about a year ago now ), I practically fell in love with Equi's unique and creative designs.
    Plus, I don't want the unicorns to change ;_;
    I also don't see the Equimagines as "unorganized". I know that the main goal here is to make things more simle and uniform. However, the Equimagines aren't just some other old and forgotten lineart that should be replaced to keep things simple. They're more than that - they're a memory or a previous artist who's never to return. They're different, yes, but that's just what makes them so special. So many users on here consider it a rare treasure to aqquire a Equimagine. So many of us have worked so hard to collect these horses - though they're soon to become the cliche and regular lineart. They won't be appreciated nearly as much as they were previously.
    I also understand that some of the items may be seemingly "wasted", and that it'll most likely be harder work to keep up with making items for both linearts. How about, rather than removing Equi's linearts altogether ... how about you stop making items for them? It'll be a bunch easier, we'll get to keep our beloved Equimagines, and there's already plently of items for them. Right?
    Ever since I first came across Chicken Smoothie, I've always looked up to all the artists on here. Please don't take these Equimagines away ;_;

Did you even read my post!? I'm getting really mad that everyone thinks I'm accusing her of tracing or even referencing that photo.
All I'm saying is: it's easy to make something LOOK traced if you find the right photo.

The 'evidence' for the adult equi lines being traced isn't very good.
Anything can be made to look traced

NOT ACCUSING THE NEW LINES OF BEING TRACED AT ALL JUST MAKING A POINT

Dude if you can't accept the evidence of the lines being traced then I don't really know what to say to you??

Lets put it this way, what would you prefer? CS changing the equi lines, or CS getting sued and possibly shut down because a photographer has found out that one of their pictures was traced and is being used on a for-profit site?

I know nothing about the allegations of art theft. I'm a newbie.

I like the equimagine horses. I like them more than the Yul ones-no offense to Yul, her lineart is great too, it's just personal preference. I would be sad if they changed.

If people want the old color designs on the Yul lineart, instead of totally replacing Equimagine's, how about releasing some horse variations that are Yul's lineart with the old Equimagine color designs? Then we can have both and everyone is happy.

I agree.

We have noticed that it seems like the main concerns so far are about a few favorite pets like the PPS ponies and the rainbow mane changing. If the opinion remains divided then we may re-vote with new conditions such as keeping the PPS ponies and have special line edits for things like the rainbow mane horse so that it still looks good on the new lines.
