I hope this'll mean we get more items for horses? and that it won't interfere with regular monthly releases?

Could a few pets stay with the old lines? this may raise demand for them? but some pets are rare and people have worked hard to get them it's unfair to reduce the demand.

Here's my hypothesis on why there are do many "Yes" votes...

From what I've seen of the comments most of the people voting yes to the change are newer member and therefore have no attachment to the older horses. Those of us who have been raising them, trading them, collecting them for a while have voted "No" as we have an attachment to the horses. Would these horses:

Pet's name: myu
Adopt virtual pets at Chicken Smoothie!

Also be changed to the new line art because they are different? Will the unicorns all be in one line art instead of the different awesome poses they are in now?

That is a Tess horse so no it wouldn't be changed-

We are not planning on having the "Tess horses" and "Malk Drafts" updated, since those lines were always considered separate from the standard monthly "horse and pony" releases and are intentionally unique.

As for the unicorns it does sound like they will be getting new line art, it's just not finished yet. (I actually am not to fond of the current unicorn poses because some of them look really, derpy.

I vote no. I'm not a fan of the new lines and prefer the older ones. Besides, having variety is interesting, and changing them to all look the same is boring

Agreed (especially on the unicorns. I'm sorry, but SPINES JUST DO NOT WORK THAT WAY) -- and I've been here since September '08, for the record.

And again, I'd like to remind people-- there has been a lot of debate about most of the Equi lines being traced from photographs, and some decent evidence to back it up. While it's not being said, I'd be willing to bet that a lot of the motivation for this change is also to just make sure the main site isn't committing some form of art theft.

Im not knew. It's been a year for me. I don't think the theory is really thought through since everyone likes things differently.

not really. i, and many other people i know who have voted yes have been around here since 2008-2009. it's more the fact that a lot of people believe the lines, or at least parts of the lines have been traced [with good reason, but i won't get into that]. considering this site highly advertises against art theft, i see it as a good reason.
in fact, a lot of members i've seen who have voted no are members who've only been here since 2011, or even 2010 [while that's certainly not new, it is when the horses stopped being made if i am correct] and onward.
and as people said before, the tess, malk, etc. horses will be staying. c:
not sure about the unicorns though.

I can't wait to see the new unicorn lineart, should this revamp go through. They definitely need to be improved. As previously stated, they do look rather derpy.
