Well, I don't think the button idea is a good idea. Firstly, Tess wants to have less horses linearts to make this all more organised and making a few versions of one pet will create only more chaos than now here in this topic. Secondly, the main problem is "should we remove the euqimagine horses or not?"; so not removing them and adding more versions is just... pointless and will give our artists a lot of work that wouldn't be really needed.

Ugh, I just HAD to go and look at my old horse lineart collection. OK, I admit, the old lineart is cute, but when I looked at the draft horses, I just went "urgh". The old lineart can stay, as long as there aren't any legal problems, but the draft horses should definitely get their new lineart.
Though I'm still not against changing it if it goes through, especially for the ponies. The old lineart for the ponies just looks anatomically wrong.

Really quickly I need to add something. As many people have pointed out, this is not definite and CS is offering us choices here. And yet, the same members are getting upset when I am doing exactly that. This is just my opinion, if it is different from yours that's fine. But while I have the chance I am going to give my opinion on this change just as forcefully as they way I feel. I would like to thank the staff for giving us the opinion to express how we feel about this, and take a minute to say that whatever happens will obviously be for the good of the majority of the site. That being said, I am going to defend my view fiercely as long as I am allowed to do so. I apologize for any grammatical errors, I am typing from a phone.

I love the old linearts, especially the pony art used in the blue pony example in Tess's post and the "prancing" style horses. I'll be sad to see them go, but the poll seems to be leaning that way.
The new heavy-horse lineart(draft) is absolutely amazing, but could it be given a tail?

I just thought of something and I apologize if it has been mentioned already-
Because of potential art theft the donkeys and unicorns may also be redesigned but what about the zebras? They are equimagines as well.
Honestly I don't know what to think of the potential tracing. I wasn't around when it happened but the fact that the lines have remained unchanged this long leads me to believe that equimagine is being truthful in that she didn't trace anything. i saw the comparison pictures posted earlier in this thread and the only one that really matches up to the point where I'd question it is the foal lines but I will be the first to admit I know very little about internet art and rules.

It's also a matter of being able to remove... lines of dubious authenticity, to put it about as mildly as possible. It wouldn't matter to me if they were the most fantastic horse lines on the internet, I say they should be removed for the sake of upholding CS' reputation. The designs themselves are staying (and as seen on the wave horse, being hugely improved in some cases), Equimagine is still getting credit for them, it's just moving the designs to lines that we know aren't possibly traced/stolen.

I believe it's been said before that the zebras would be left alone, or get their own species-specific lines. c:

Depending on the horse breed, some larger drafts like percherons do not have a full tail. ^^ They are supposed to be work horses, so they do not have as much of a tail at the back in order to not get into machinery/work.
