I personally support. ^^ The horses/ponies that have already been done look great.

Even though we have proof that the images are traced and stolen (LinkLinkLinkLink)

I looked through these links, and though it was most strongly showed on the first link, there is some proof that Equi didn't trace. Or at least not for the adult horse/first link. The head, neck, mane, tail, and probably more things I forgot are different. So sorry if I broke a rule or was rude or upset someone, but in my opinion not all of Equi's lines should be changed.

X2 while yes, that foal looks heavily copied, if you search stuff like 'trotting draft' or 'trotting horse' you'll find pictures that were 'traced' off of /:

Agreed. What about my drawing?
It may appear I have copied this drawing from
This one, but I didn't. I didn't look at a lioness picture.
Another probability could be maybe she used it as a ref, for an idea. She can't just get a horse picture off the top of her head.

there's no way of knowing for sure, of course, but i highly doubt the newer lines are traced. and even if they were, does that exclude anyone else who previously committed art theft from any punishment or correction? of course not!
and sorry to say, but i honestly don't see how some of equi's lines can line up exactly with the photo if she just referenced it or didn't even look at it, that is completely ridiculous. while no one here is saying that equi is a bad person, we're just pointing out that this is a site that 'doesn't tolerate art theft' yet is even reconsidering replacing stolen art work and simply silences anyone who mentions it. the fact that equimagine traced is completely relevant to the discussion and i've seen way too many polite, on-topic posts being deleted simply because they brought up the unavoidable truth that equimagine traced.

Those don't even look remotely similar.

And some of the lines match EXACTLY. That DOES NOT HAPPEN when referencing or by coincidence.
They/Them pronouns only.

Ok, I get that. Nor am I saying should we keep the lines, but I'm just saying why is everyone SO focused on hating on the old lines.
What I doubt get is, why don't we just get rid of the copied lines? Sure, it'll be sad to see some of the PPS go (since personally I think the old PPS are cuter then the new), but the ponies for example, I haven't seen any 'evidence' they were copied.. And dang, their adorable xD

I think someone did post examples of the ponies being copied. I don't remember where, though. I could be wrong, but I thought I saw it.

Also, the original photos with comparisons to the lines - ;

EDIT; I'm sorry if I broke any rules - I'm not meaning to, I just want people to be aware of the possibility of traced lines D:

Whether or not you think the lines were traced or to what extent is not the point of the thread. Draikinator, your posts keep getting deleted for being off-topic and insulting to the artists, neither of which is permitted in the thread. The tracing issue has been brought up again and again in the thread and those posts are still there, including those linking to the overlays, so I don't know why you think it's being covered up. =/ The only ones that get deleted are posts that are directly insulting the artists (either of them), off-topic, or specifically trying to cause a fight. If you keep your posts polite, on-topic and respectful, there's no issue.
