It's actually the call of the owner and she didn't need to ask us really, she could have just gone ahead and done it, but she's taking our thoughts and opinions into consideration. Whatever the outcome will be, whether we agree with it or not, we can be at peace knowing she took the time to consider how we felt about it -- that's why I always believe she knows what's best to do with the site, because over all the years that CS has had its 'changes', despite the momentary adjustment period we always eventually realize she has done what's best for the site.
/sounds like some sort of preacher omg XD
I agree completely XD. 100% ^^
I do think change is good. The old designs should be credited to the designer. This is just like updating the design.

I don't see the point.
It's a lot of work to redo them and I might add, overwrites the original artist's time and effort. It's rather fun to see all the different styles.
Let's leave things as is, and let the artists of CS work on new art!! Always go forward, never go backward!

It would be great if someone could actually explain HOW this would ruin the demand of equi pets. That argument makes the least sense to me of any. How does the demand of pets that, HONESTLY, already have next-to-no-demand go down by giving them a little revamp? I mean, I get that it's all relative and will differ for each person, but in general I don't see where the concern with demand comes in. Feel free to try to explain it to me, anyone. I'm truly confused.

Changing over the designs to Yulyhn's line art would be moving forward, not backwards.

I don't know but that really really doesn't seem right. It would look wrong. A lot of the designs would just look wrong is transferred. I fine the Yulynh horses lack personality. Look at those little equimagine ponies peeking out from underneath their manes, they look so shy and adorable. People are saying that equimagine horses have low demand and this might increase their demand but since when do Yulynh horses have more demand?
Yeah thats one of them im having a hard time imagining in the new linea

I personally feel that if the demand changes, it'll go up. I rarely have trouble trading Yulynh horses, but I always struggle to trade Equimagine horses.

I've been seeing people posting things like: Yulynh's linearts are "too flat", "too boring", "poor anatomy" and even "dead looking". Guys...STOP bashing the either artists lines. Both are great, both have their pro's and con's stop being so rude!
Also as many others have said, it's NOT about items, it's NOT about who's lines are better, who "traced/referenced" or who's the better artist it's about having pets that are consistant. <_<
If you like the old lines (and the new) then vote no. If you want them to be updated say "yes" it's that simple. Honestly.

Yes- it is, and I know a bunch of members who really try to collect these! Also, it makes me feel like they're worth less, because they're not retired coats anymore.

I say keep the older designs, just because it seems like more people prefer the new line art doesn't mean the old ones should be changed.
I personally do not care for the new pony line art and would be sad to see the 2009 ponies I adore change into them. I also like the 2010 horse, the expression on its face to me is adorable where as the new line art has a more serious less carefree feel to it.
I do not think it looks weird having more than one type of horse / pony line art. Horses in real life come in a variety of shapes and sizes.
However talented the artists are that would be converting the old to new they could never make them the same, being on a new line art the original design will lose some if not all of its original intent. No matter how you look at it the pet won't be the same pet it once was even if you still call it the 2009 pony (as an example) it won't be.
If Equi traced the horses it should have and I hope would have been taken care of right then and there. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt and if she said she didn't and it was never proven she did and no consequences came from continuing to use the line arts then what is the point of converting them now.
I say keep the old the same but I would certainly not mind implementing new designs like the draft or potential new designs for donkeys and unicorns. But please leave my older pets alone. They do not need a make over.
Thank you CS staff for your consideration, I truly appreciate how much you all care for the happiness me and my fellow users. I hope that you are not offended by my thoughts or feel I am ungrateful. I'm sure whatever is decided while it may take getting used to will be just fine. I know I will continue to visit and support CS regardless.
Much Love
Breja
Also why unicorns and donkeys? You said you wouldn't touch Malk's or Tess's horses because they are unique and separate. Aren't unicorns and donkeys unique and separate as well? If the donkeys are made to look like the new line art I think for me the would lose all appeal. Or are new donkey and unicorn line arts being made such as for the draft? In which case why? What is wrong with the old ones?
