That's not exactly what I meant ^^; I was asking if the two are given separate consideration or if they are equal.

I'm assuming no counts for more. If 40% of CS is against it, it wouldn't be fair to change the lines. But I don't know the cut off point or if I'm even right. Just an assumption ^^

I think another big question is how they'll count the ambivalent ones. But yeah, I would think at least 70-75% would be needed to change, although that's just me. They might just pick whichever is leading.

70-75% is sort of my feeling, too, though Tess would be the one to decide exactly where the line should be. Also to be considered is exactly what objections/supports/suggestions people raise about it, which is what the thread is for.

The ambivalent votes would probably be considered as mild Yes votes, since that's people who wouldn't be particularly distressed if the lines did change. If the strong majority of people support it or don't care either way, the changes would go ahead, and if there were no Yes votes but 80% ambivalent votes, it would probably still go ahead, since the poll is mostly to see if people are very against the idea of the planned change. The change is already planned and has some work in progress, but if a lot of people are strongly against it the project can be nixed or altered if need be.

I love the idea I also love the new draft horse. Would there be new designs in that lineart or will they be set aside only for the transformation?

Didn't get an answer. Or is it classified information?

Classified.

On another note, I believe this is being carried out wrong in general.
If there was a need/want for the older lineart design to be converted to the "newer" linearts, it should have been done back when the linearts were introduced-- not all this time afterward. Now it's going to cause even more of a stir than it would if it had been forced, not left up to an open-thread "debate."

I think the link to this topic needs to be shown on the home page (if you want votes faster), more people may see it. c:

I would be devastated if the old line arts were changed. When I joined ChickenSmoothie, I was 6 months too late to see an equimagine pet be released. I was a little disappointed and tried to trade for the equimagine pets that I could. The older designs date the pets and they also add a unique sense that gives them their value. Right now, I would love to get any equimagine pet i could, but if the lineart was changed, I would not want many of the older pets. I love equimagine's designs, and I think the horses are more elegant and beautiful. Yulynh's are great, but I do not care for the horses as much and I don't like the ponies at all. I am always excited when I get an old design. It's like trading for a 2009 when you joined in 2011. You are happy to be able to own something that you missed being released, and makes it feel like you accomplished something. Getting a 2011 when you joined in 2009 isn't that exciting at all. Having an equimagine lets me have a part of something I missed out on, and that's what makes it valuable to me!

That's what I think. (sorry for rambling on) I really hope the equimagines get to stay...

I really love the way the old designs look on the new linearts. The new draft is adorable. :3 Concerning the possible art theft surrounding Equimagine's lines, I think it best that everything changes. Better we lose a portion of CS history than have the site shut down. Plus, I'm super excited to see what this fellow looks like on the new unicorn lines; he's always been one of my favorites.

To those people concerned about losing their favorite pet, remember that only the lines are changing, not the design. Who knows? Maybe you'll love the new interpretation even better than the old.

There aren't any new Equimagine horses being released, so every equimagine horse that anyone has ever adopted will be changed into the new linearts with a few system changes.

They probably waited 'all this time' so that Yulynh would have enough time to create new pets for us to adopt as well as have the time to take designs from equimagine and transfer them. Or maybe the idea didn't come around until recently? All in all, I think this really was the only way to make sure everyone on the site could have their say.

I really dislike how everyone is saying that no one cared about equimagine horses before this started. That is completely untrue. I knew plenty of people (such as myself) who loved equimagines and wanted to collect them. It's not that people are suddenly caring, it's that people are finally speaking up for them.
