I keep reading things like "If we change equimagine's lines, it would be like changing Malks lines" this really bothers me. Malk has changed her lines, a lot actually, the only lines that have stayed the same are her dragons, elemental cats and simile faces. Malk has changed/updated/improved her cats, dogs, wolves, owls, horses, spiders, foxes and koi. Most people seem to like the changes now, in fact, I think they even got more popular afterwards. It's seems a lot of people never really cared for equimagine's horses to begin with until this came up, some concerns people have had are about the popularity. Why is that a bad thing? Most equimagine's horses weren't very popular to begin with, I've even heard users complaining about being unable to trade off horses. With this new line art, it will be like taking in an antique and making it pretty and new again like how it was when it first came out. Maybe it will increase the value and demand of the horses and traders can actually get a fair trade for the '09-'10 horses and ponies.

I still think it would be great to start fresh and have all the horse lines the same. Maybe the roadkill pps could have it's very own Yulynh line art.

In the options menu, have a option for new likes or not. Aha, best idea yet? So then some people could have there new lines and others can stick to the *best* old lines.

I think that's been suggested already, and I personally believe it's a good idea; but it probably won't happen because of all the coding and trading issues and just plain confusion. If that was the case then one horse could appear in 2 different ways in trades, which could cause scamming and such. Unless they made them uniform in trades, but that would require even more coding.
Perhaps it's something that may be done in the future though, if technology changes enough to make it possible.

You know, I agree with this. Why not just have a special lineart for it and the Buckskin/Dice PPS? :)

Like with the sitting cat ones, I really like the older pony lineart and find myself more drawn to them then the newer ones. It's not so much that they're nicer looking (I love the new Lineart too!), I just get a little bit more excited when I get older lineart in a trade or in the pound! I love the old pony and draught lines, they're some of my favourite on Chickensmoothie, and although the new draught horses look amazing, I don't want to part with my old favourites either! Though I much prefer the new horse lineart, I'd be sad to see the ponies and draught horses gone for good! (I know, getting all sentimental here!)
Maybe, there could be some new and some old- randomly changed, so people would have to trade to get whichever lines they preferred. They'd still be the same rarity and stuff, but say if someone preferred the old lines, they would still be available to trade for? I know, it's a silly idea, I'm just trying to come up with a way that pleases everyone ^^;

Now that I've had time to think, you are right about the linearts looking traced, they look like the lineart for the old Howrse equines that were retired a few years back. The ponies in particular. I still like them anyways and it would be sad if they were erased.

I collect the ponies that have this line art (dominoes) and would really hate to see them change. I really think it makes them special

I love this idea! I am completely against the erase of the old lines but since people complain about formality and items they can collect the new lines

Where for me I appreciate the old lines and add them to my collect to make it beautiful and mixed and don't care about items

I think they should leave the older horses as they are, but update the drafts. the drafts lineart looks sweet.

I think it would be beneficial for a rule to be set up disallowing the discussion of weather these lines where traced or not, it's clarified on the front page an most people are using this as an excuse to belittle her art and her skills and her value as an artist on CS , just a suggestion I would feel bad if she where to come on and see what's being said about her
