I am all for this. Not only do (in my opinion) Yulynh lines look a bit cleaner and detailed but it just makes sense to have all the same lineart for everything. Just like the dogs, bunnies, ect. I would also like to see the old "Warrior Cat" lineart perhaps vanish as well for the same reason. (though the "warrior cats" themselves might be worth keeping in the original lines) But that's a whole other story.

I don't know why everyone one is so upset by this? People were upset about equimagine's lines in the past and yet now people are complaining that they want to keep them? I'm sorry but make up your minds. Either you don't like the fact that they are referenced too closely OR you don't want them changed at all. This is just silly going back and forth. I think the main reason people don't want them changed is for the simple fact that it may change their "worth" which in itself is silly as well. The rarities of these pets and "coat patterns" is not going to change, only the lineart on which they are coloured. No it's not "the original" but it's GOOD to update things and keep things linear in my opinion (for not only items but also confusion to newbies ect...) Just look at how many sites update things. (Neopets, Subeta ect...) MANY pet sites do this. Many sites go as far as changing the pets completely and some people either love it, or hate it. You CAN'T please everyone. At least CS is only changing the lineart and not the "coat pattern". Also with how many talented artsits we have on CS today I think some of these old designs would look ever MORE amazing than they were originally!

Just looking at the huge amount of more detail in the first horse and second (wave) pony from the original this gets my vote. I was never really a fan on those old horses that much, but even now I find myself liking just this tiny handful much more than the orignal artwork. This, of course, is just my one opinion but I would truly love to see this happen. <3

Sounds like an awesome idea, but I will miss the old ones, a lot.
Maybe we could have a setting for it? So that if we want to have the new design, we can switch the settings to that, and the horses and drafts and ponies look like the new version. Or just keep it the same as it was.
I was thinking maybe have both; you would be able to own both of them, but that would mean that the equine collectors must get their collection all over again, and if they just were free if you had the old lineart, then that would be unfair to those who dont't

I love the new designs, but It's too much for me to see all of those old ones go.
Although for the ponies with the hair flipped over their eyes, I'm quite fine with those being revamped, since I was never a fan of the man covering their eyes. Plus, it would be nice to see their eye color now.
I prefer the old draft lineart, I'm just not a fan of the more realistic version.

Well, I've seen some posts that said something about copyright, and a bit from the first post.
If it's the actual reason why, and if most users say yes, then I'll just have to cope with it.

I'm so much no I don't even know where to begin. Most neighsayers have already said what I think so I won't say anything myself. Only that I will be majorly disappointed if the pets will change this drastically.

The best thing would be some kind of option to turn the pets yourself so that everyone will be pleased.

Because the only reason to do this is because of the items and because it looks messy? So why don't we change all malks lines to the dogs, I'd be interested to see the designs in tess' lines
... Really I would not.. But it's the same mentality. I do not think this is fair because people are going to vote and they have not been here since the creation of these designs. And as I've said in my other post before this is CS history we are just going to erase, these are my pets that ie collected thy are going to be turned into lines that I will see time and time again in new designs to come, the value (I guess for me) would drop in the old lines. Equimagines lines are set apart from Yulyns because it wa a diffrent time and era of CS and that just going to be abolished. To people complaining about items, you can still use the old items on the old horses, new items on the new horses, I think that's less of a big deal then getting rid of lines that we said we "appreciated" we thanked Equimagine for all her hard work, and she won't even have her mark left on CS. It's the character of CS we will be throwing down the drain. I'm sitting her stairing at the vote count and my heart is just sinking, I'm so upset by this, and I hope that we are not just considering raw vote count. If it comes down to item complaints, get creative, most people who dress up there pets use items from all sorts of categories to put on pets they don't fit... heck I've dressed up my smiley with dog items! And simply put not everyone dresses up their pets anyways. This will be my third post on this thread, I'm just so torn down my this. And again I repeat why can't Yulyn make we drafts with her own designs. I love the designs but not enough to wipe out the old ones.

I totally agree with this. Even though I recently joined this site, I've become more fond of equimagine's lines than of yulynh's. Don't take this the wrong way, they're both great artists (way better than I'll ever be ) but I find equimagine's lines special. I've found a ton of random items I can use to dress the old lineart horses with. And even if saddles won't fit, there's always background items and toys. I'll never get enough items to dress up all my pets anyway, so I don't even think that is such a big issue.

Guys, friendly reminder that the items aren't the main reason they're doing this. Neither is the legality of the lines themselves. It's for the uniformity of the horse lines as a whole within the site.
Also, you can't really compare it to Malk dogs vs Tess dogs; Malk's are very nearly a separate species when compared to the normal dog adopts, with dogs, foxes, and wolves all coming from the same litter and all being very different line arts. Not to mention that she was merging an entire website-it's a very different situation.

I really don't want them to change.....I understand that some people like the new lines, since they're more realistic, but at the same time I really like the old lines and how they were more cartoony. I personally see it as an older part of CS that I don't think should be changed, kinda like the malk designs (I understand that the malk lines were a completely different thing, but I still have the same feelings about it which is why I'm mentioning it).

Malk cats/dogs/wolves/foxes were retired as lines a long time ago, but people still really like them because they're unique. I think it's kinda the same way for horses (at least for me it is). Looking through the archives and seeing the different designs of the older horses and then trying to imagine them on the newer lines, just doesn't work for me. I personally prefered the older linearts anyway (not saying that I don't like the current one, but I prefer the older ones).

When I look at the designs on some of the horses (especially the more colourful ones) it seems to me that those designs were meant for those lines and that they wouldn't translate as nicely onto the newer lines (I'm sure that the artists would do them well, but it just wouldn't feel the same in my opinion).

Also, on the subject of items....I personally don't really care about items for horses! Sure I'll put them on every so often, but I don't really care for putting items on the older horses anyway! (They look better on their own, IMO).

I really love this idea. Since you won't be changing Malk draft lineart, which is my favourite at the moment, it seems a good thing to do. From what I know, old horses and ponies aren't that popular cause many people dislike the lineart.

Also, I just adore the new draft lineart. It's gonna be my favourite if redrawing project will be successful. It looks so natural, and colours look better on it, just like on arabian store horses. I hope you'll update old draft lineart, as it looks simply great.

Being honest about something that happened is not the same as dragging a name through the mud. Clearly there is a lot of misinformation floating around that needs to be made perfectly clear before you let new/younger members make a decision like this.

The lines need to be changed. It's not a matter of what the misinformed members of CS want, it's a matter of what is morally and legally right. Art theft is against the rules on CS, and for good reason. I was really excited to see this come up because this has always been a sore spot in the back of my mind as far as CS is concerned. I thought "yes, they're actually addressing this issue! They're doing something about it! This is great!"

But with all the post deletion going on, and the confusion as to why this is even happening, now I'm just disappointed.
