Not trying to be a stick in the mud but I don't understand why the mods are trying so hard to hide what is probably the very same reason why this project ever came to be? Could one of you please explain the reasoning to me?
I don't think they're trying to "hide" anything--I think they just don't want to keep quoting and repeating
what has already been said xD:

Was your pet adopted December 18, any year, or December 24, 2011? It is most likely an older pet! CLICK ME to identify your pet!

Dear Staff, how about changing the drafts lineart first to see reactions and then deciding about horses and ponies? I think in current situation it would be the safest thing to do =)
edit: same with unicorns! ^^
^ I agree. c:
Some people may just be swaying towards yes because of the new draft, unicorn and donkey linearts, so that would probably be the best option.

I like this idea.
I must say, I like this idea as well. Personally, I love the new draft lineart and I'm very excited to see what the unicorns will look like so that's a change I would full-heartedly support. I'm a bit less thrilled with the idea of the horse and pony updates though. My main problem is with the ponies, simply because I adore the old pony linearts but I dislike the new ones (no offence to the artist-they're just not my thing.) So that's a change I would be disappointed to see especially with the older pps ponies. The other thing is I'm sure that a lot of people who have hoards with the older lineart will be disappointed if they don't like the new designs. I mean what if you had a Rainbow Mane hoard or a hoard with several hundred to a thousand equimagine horses? If you don't like the new lineart that's all of your hard work down the drain. I know this isn't a major concern of most people, but it's just one of the things that came to mind. Going back to the posts above mine though, I feel like starting out with that would be an easier and more manageable change. Doing it more gradually like that would give people time to adjust and give time to see how people are reacting to them. It would also be an easier way to start I'd imagine. I do believe there's a good bit fewer drafts and unicorns than there are horses and ponies so it would be an easier start point. Just my opinion ^^

paper cut. wrote:Tyr wrote:I voted no, for a few reasons:
1. I actually really love the "Arab" lines that Equi had, as well as the first ponies, and I really don't want to see those gone.
2. You're erasing some CS history, and its neat to see how it progressed.
3. It just seems like a discredit to Equi by removing her tag off of her lines and her designs, and placing the yulynh tag on them instead.
4. Same designs, sure, but you're also taking away the uniqueness of the original artist's designs. They lose...something when they're transferred over.
5. Items are easier to convert, and players are very creative when it comes to dressing up their pets anyway.
6. Conversion time takes away from the time that whoever is converting these can use instead to create new pets or otherwise.
7. I'm not fond of the new drafts. The face is too short, and there's something weird going on where the hind leg meets the barrel (like the body needs to be just a touch longer).
As well as some other very good points that a lot of other users are bringing up.
Tyr, I completely agree with the 7th one.
[I don't want to diss them, sorry D:]
Tyr, I love you're argument. Those are the exact reasons I gave, and more. Tess, please don't change the linearts!

True, but it would be great if that post was actually somewhere where EVERYONE can see it, not being hidden in this thread like the Isla de la Muerte, you know, only to be found by those who know where it is :'D
"HIATUS"I'm not an active collector anymore,

I know it's already been said, but it's very clear that hardly anyone commenting on this thread is taking the time to read through 60+ pages of OMG DON'T CHANGE IT WUT ABOUT CS'S HISTORY NOOOOOO to find that one post. If Tess would make note of that on the Original post that would be one thing, but right now it's a buried blip in a heap of comments saying nothing but "I don't like the old/new/any horse in general"--since the comments mentioning that issue keep getting deleted. Even my general 'yes, they should be changed because this could become a valid legal issue AND they're against the site's own rules in regards to art theft.'
EDIT: Thank you coal, much appreciated <3

I feel that we should keep the old lines to show how much Cs has grown in their years of success. There's been a lot of improvements with everything, but I don't think this should be one of them (no offense at all to Yulynh the new lines are lovely). Sure there were a lot of different line arts for old lines and the items make it hard to dress them up (I think the only thing is the head positioning really), but wouldn't it be easier to alter items instead of putting one design onto another? I don't know that's just me and these are all opinions. I would like it if the old lines would stay though.
