(A item pound? That would be cool! c:)
Anyways I think the change would be for the best.
I don't want to risk the chance of anything happening to CS.

Personally, I always disliked the old lines but loved the designs. I didn't like the conflict so I never collected them. The new lines came and I liked them, but almost immediately saw a drop in design quality. So even though horses are some of my favorite animals, I haven't been collecting them at all since I joined two years ago.
From what I can tell, a lot of people felt that way. They put "no equimegine horses" in their trade rules and that sort of thing. If we just switched the lines, *presto*! Two years of horses and ponies that those people can all collect (:
that's exactly how i feel too . c:

I really Like the new lines (especially the daft!). this change would bring more constancy to the pets, like how when Malk changed her lines and then she took the time to transfer them all. When equimagine changed her style, she left all the horses/ponies from July '09 to February '10 in the same line art, so there was a bunch of inconsistencies, thus bringing up the problem that Tess mentioned "items don't fit all the line arts. If we wanted to have all the items fit all the horses, it would be so much easier for the staff, they would only have to redraw the item about 3 times (1 for the horse, 1 for the pony and 1 for the daft) if there were only one line art for each, but if we kept all the line art, there would be about 8 different line arts (3 horses, 3 ponies, 2 drafts) for the staff to make items for. Yulynh's lines generally look better to me, and the shading is incredible, I personally think that it would be an improvement.

^ I agree. c:
Some people may just be swaying towards yes because of the new draft, unicorn and donkey linearts, so that would probably be the best option.

Ah I agree with this.
Also thanks to the others who answered my question.

Tess actually directly responded to the issue earlier, and I don't believe anyone is skirting around the issue. Although if there is something in particular that you feel is being ignored, feel free to PM me. C:
Tess wrote:Some users say that her lines were traced from photos. equimagine has a longer explanation for how they came about, which in a few words is basically that she referenced for personal use, forgot about it when re-using old personal sketches for CS purposes, and that some connections other users made between photos and her lines were coincidental. Some of her lines closely resemble photographs that she didn't have personal permission to use, which upset many users, and was part of the motivation for retiring her lines in the first place. She maintains that she never intended to use photo-copied linearts for CS and that it was a careless mistake. She did update the lines for a second round but people still mistrusted her and her horses and ponies were not very popular at the time (although apparently have more support these days).
Oh, sorry about that! c: Considering it's apparently buried somewhere in this thread, I probably would have a hard time finding it by myself. I guess I could have looked through Tess's posts, but I didn't think of that.
I do think if that quote was put on the first page, it would clear things up for a lot of people. I originally assumed people were skirting around the issue because I couldn't find anything on the subject even though the whole thread had basically turned into an art theft discussion, and as a CS user I found that sort of grating because I assumed that particular issue was just being ignored. So yeah if this was up on the first page it would probably be beneficial. c:
Thanks for the explanation and sorry for adding to the offtopicness/redundancy haha.

I don't like the new draft lines.

I don't really like horses much at all on here, but I like the old ones more. And I love the old ponies, not so much the new ones. IDK. I just don't want them to get changed because I like the variety of the horses. I like that they aren't all the exact same lines. IMO, I think that would be boring. I know the dogs are pretty much all the same, but there are a LOT more edits on them that make them different.
Vincent Van Gogh. Everyone said to him, "You can't be a great painter, you only have one ear." And you know what he said? "I can't hear you."
Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.
