No! I like the old horse lines, I really like the variety of the horses. I would almost want to trade all my old horses away if they got updated.

I love my Rainbow Mane horse, and I love the PPS ponies as well. I way prefer the old PPS lines to the new ones.
Vincent Van Gogh. Everyone said to him, "You can't be a great painter, you only have one ear." And you know what he said? "I can't hear you."
Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

I support this idea; for the most part.
I love the new Drafts, those are adorable <3
But the ponies. Eh. I'm not a fan of the lineart to begin with and although it's not bad, it won't help the popularity of the pony lines, at least I don't think. The designs do look WAY better but I'm not personally a fan of the lineart. However I was looking at the lineart and me and my mom thought about this, but I was trying to pinpoint what about the pony lineart bugs me. And it's that line on the face. That line that is suppose to define the face--it just doesn't flow right to me.
Still, as far as the rest of the transformation, I'm all for it. And the Dice PPS and Buckskin PPS are adorable on their previous lineart, I really would be quite disappointed to see those change. ;u;
But of course ultimately majority rules and this has quite a bit of support~ Still that is my opinions. C: Thanks for the update and I look forward to those Drafts <3

the reason i believe this would be so much more better , is because that change is better , and they are doing it for the better of chicken smoothie , which we most likely all know about . it would be better to get rid of a line art , instead of getting a lawsuit . we should all let each other state each of our beliefs , and stop arguing about how others feel . if you have to say something rude to a user because you disagree , just keep it in your head instead of getting a board warning for being rude , because i am sure if this keeps on going how it is there will be many users with warnings , if there is not already . just because you have the freedom of speech does not mean it is always right to use it .

I think we should do this.
The examples already shown are massive improvements to the first version of the design, especially with that wave pony. All of the re-designs shown are for more clear, sharp, and professional looking. This would add a bit of value to the horses for me, and probably others. The first versions of the designs don't impress me much, and are the reason I am not interested in many horses. But, after seeing Yulynh's redesigns, I would be interested in collecting and using them more.
The draft lineart is also stunning, and, in my opinion, a huge improvement from the first draft lineart. I would love to see more colour ins of it, it's very promising!
So, for me, a complete yes to the question.

I believe the idea is that the new draft lines will be adopted out in the future, hence the suggestion of updating the old ones if we update the rest of equi's lines.

Tess actually directly responded to the issue earlier, and I don't believe anyone is skirting around the issue. Although if there is something in particular that you feel is being ignored, feel free to PM me. C:

She maintains that she never intended to use photo-copied linearts for CS and that it was a careless mistake. She did update the lines for a second round but people still mistrusted her and her horses and ponies were not very popular at the time (although apparently have more support these days).

A reminder that this thread isn't the place to debate about art theft. It's about whether or not you would like to see the old horse lines updated to the new horse lines (designs moved, etc), not about dragging an artist through the mud with allegations.
We have already given an explanation as to how the old lines came about so arguing about it is just spam and have been removed from this thread.

Thank you very much for clearing that up, Coalchaser. It would be great if Tess' quote could be included in the first post, because I think it's going to be referred to again for quite a few times.
