I voted no, for a few reasons:

1. I actually really love the "Arab" lines that Equi had, as well as the first ponies, and I really don't want to see those gone.
2. You're erasing some CS history, and its neat to see how it progressed.
3. It just seems like a discredit to Equi by removing her tag off of her lines and her designs, and placing the yulynh tag on them instead.
4. Same designs, sure, but you're also taking away the uniqueness of the original artist's designs. They lose...something when they're transferred over.
5. Items are easier to convert, and players are very creative when it comes to dressing up their pets anyway.
6. Conversion time takes away from the time that whoever is converting these can use instead to create new pets or otherwise.
7. I'm not fond of the new drafts. The face is too short, and there's something weird going on where the hind leg meets the barrel (like the body needs to be just a touch longer).

Completely agree with everything and especially about the legs. The drafts are cute, but I don't like the last ones legs at all... I didn't want to say it, but now that someone has, It looks kind if funny ^^;;[/quote]

1. I agree with you on this, only I would like the items to fit the horses.
2. I bet someone is making a CS fan archive of all the lines and pets, so the history will always be there. Besides, this would be a cool thing to add to the history.
3. I'm sure Tess would credit Equi for the original design.
4. Yes, but they would look so much nicer and more detailed on the new lines. And Yun's lines are so much more realistic and beautiful.
5. It would be easier on the staff to just have one lineart with items that fit that one. It might be unique, but I get disappointed when I can't fit new items on old horses.
6. True, but I would rather have new horses that are crisp and organized rather than new pets. I don't know how long it takes for artists to color line arts for pets, I bet not long. Also, there's enough artists to go around for this an the adoptions.

Do you guys have permission from Equimagine to take her designs? I love her ponies, and how do you change the PPS and keep it looking as adorable in the current lines? How do you do the Roadkill PPS? I think it would kill demand.

Tess already mentioned Equi signed an artist agreement giving over her designs and lines to CS. ^^;

Okay, quick idea. I see both sides here now that some points have been made. I actually regret voting yes.

Why not try to make an option in your profile to either use the Yulynh lined re-designs or the equimagine originals? Because you have NO idea how fast the zebra, uni, and the list PPS demand will drop. Including the rainbow mane when they are on the new linearts. The zebras just seem like they belong in the lineart.

And one more thing. The designs Black Heart Always made were, actually, her own characters and one is her own horse! You would need to discuss this with any guest artists.

^Tyr pretty much summed up what I was thinking, but I'll explain my p.o.v. a bit further.
1:I love the ponies Equi made, the ones with the hair covering the face a bit (like the palomino pictured in the "change" photo) look a lot more realistic that way. They remind me of the Exmoor Ponies: ( http://www.petsfoto.com/wp-content/uplo ... -Pony1.jpg ) and with the new lineart, that connection just isn't there anymore.
2: I just joined CS last year, but I absolutely love seeing how the linearts have progressed and changed and become what they are today. If all the linearts get changed, new users won't get to enjoy that like I did.
3: Yes, some people think Equi made a mistake or whatever, but is that reason to pretty much erase her from CS history? They serve as a reminder that she was here, in a way.

7: I love the pose of the old draft lines, the draft seems so....upbeat, energetic. I also prefer the tail hanging, rather than sticking up towards the body.

That being said, I do like the new lines proposed, maybe make them a new lineart for CS? Instead of taking away from CS history, why not add to it with a new lineart on the drafts, without taking away the old?

I believe anyone who makes art for CS has to sign an agreement handing their designs over to CS. I know I did and that was just for the few pets I have made.

The one thing I do like about this is the new draft horse lines. I've seen that most people like them. If the whole equine transformation project doesn't happen, would it be a possibility to still transform only certain ones like the drafts?

Also, I'd just like to try and clear things up a bit, I'd asked earlier about the zebras and the answer was they most likely won't change. So at least I'll still have my zebra if everything else has to go c:

All designs submitted to be CS adoptables are under an agreement that allows us to re-use them under any circumstance. All artists agree to this so there is no breach of contract when this type of thing happens.
