Darn, this thread is moving so fast. <(._.)>
I do agree with the whole thing, but take in mind that Tess and/or Nick may be able to add certain features, like viewing the old linearts in the archive or being able to switch back to the original lineart.

I personally think Yul's lines look more realistic-it's why I like them better.

Aw, I'd be sad to see the old equi linearts changed. I especially love the older pony linearts. I'd be interested to see the new unicorn ideas though.

Edit: I didn't even think about the PPS versions. The old ones are so precious!

Yes, I think this sums up everyone's concerns. Anywho, the colors redone in the new lines would be so much nicer and cleaner too.

OMG THAT DRAFT LINEART *SWOON*

/ahem--I mean, yes, I would love to see this happen! Though I was always really quick to trade away my equi horses, so I've probably lost out on a few of them, but I know I have a ton of them in my trading folders yet. Totally for this idea. :D

I never really collected the horses or like horses in real life so maybe I can be a little unbiased here?

The many styles of the horses always confused me. I didn't see a reason to have as many designs as there were for horses. If the art was changed, it would make things much more streamlined and cohesive. CS is an art based game and like much other games, art is constantly being changed and updated. This is to make sure things are fresh, current, and/or cohesive to the game. Not everyone will love the changes because art is so so subjective. I've played games that have changed their artwork, sometimes I liked it, sometimes I didn't. I believe this change is a good one and well help with the dress-up aspect of the site.

As for the comparison of the Mona Lisa, that isn't quite close enough. The Mona Lisa is a masterpiece. That isn't just a phrase, masterpieces have criteria to meet. Comparing digital art on a children's site to a very old traditional painting isn't quite the same and I feel it doesn't get your point across very well. Painting over the Mona Lisa will forever ruin it. With digital art you can change and save copies over and over.

For the argument about keeping it as history, well then where is progress? We can't all be stuck in the past because some people are hesitant or dislike change. I'm sure the old art will be saved and shown on maybe some wiki thing or you can save it to your own computer. Once on the internet, forever on the internet.

I hope I was clear in my post and that it made sense to some people =).

Either way, the new design updates are gorgeous and the draft horse lines are simply superb. I eagerly await their implementation and look forward to collecting them in the future.
