Very much in agreement with the idea. Not even mentioning the new draft lines, I'd definitely be tempted to start collecting more of those designs if they were put into the newer lines. It would save the artists lots of trouble creating all different sets of items for the old lines.

My personal preference was that I didn't like the old horse lines, so I have always avoided getting any Equimagine lines in my pet collection (again, through personal preference only). I think the transformations could encourage more people who didn't like the lines to start gathering those designs, too.

On the issue of respect, I think her designs would still be respected through this change... not many big problems here for me - I'll repeat what I said above, I think they would look much better in the new lines.

And going onto the new draft lines - wowee! They look splendid, and I'd certainly want to add draft horses into my CS pet collection if the change goes through. Maybe even all of them.

Cutting a long story short, I really think the change is beneficial for everyone, especially if it's suggested in the first place. Hope we can see it soon! ^U^

I would like to know if what will they do with the PPS that she made, the donkeys, and the one PPS dragon she made. With the PPS horses she made, will they edit the lines on them, because I loved how it was...different, unique.

Guys, the validity of equi's lines isn't why they're thinking of changing them. It's because three line styles for one animal is a bit extreme. It's not about the items either, at least not directly. They're a perk.
And while some of you may think it's like deleting CS history, I'm sure someone out there has already started compiling images of them for a fan archive if the change does go through.

I personally think Yul's lines look more realistic-it's why I like them better.

I'm sorry, are we actually attempting to compare pixel art to some of the greatest works of art ever to exist? Really? That's a poor argument and mostly makes you look laughable.
Whether the tracing was an accident or not, its still tracing, and personally, I love the new line arts, especially the draft horse and I would really love to see them updated. The horse/pony lines that we have now just look so much nicer than the old ones, a change would be a good thing.

I'm against this, but I'm just letting those of you who say that it's unfair to equimagine and asking how she feels, equinagine's account was deleted, so she probably doesn't know ( or maybe even care ) about this. The lines weren't even her art anyway.

But even though technically the old lines were art theft, I think that we should keep them. What if someone decided that the Mona Lisa should be different, then painted a frown on her face and painted her hair blonde because now-a-days people think that 'blonde girl are prettier than brunettes?' It's not exactly like that, but those horses are part of Chicken Smoothie's history, and we can't just redo history and act like it was always like it is now, because it wasn't. Those lines show CS's past, even if they are a bit... distasteful... to some users, we can't just pretend it never happened because we're a bit embarrassed or something. I'm sorry, but this is just my opinion, and I can get passionate in a debate, especially when it's about something as big as this.

i agree with both of you. while i would love to see the old lines stay, it IS up to tess and nick in the end. i don't know anything about the so-called "stolen" lines, so i'm not much help there...but i do enjoy seeing the horses i started CS with. they seem more realistic than the cartoon-y newer ones. i love the draft lines however, so instead of changing all the past horses....why not just start making new drafts? :(

Hm, I honestly don't know what to say. xD I'm torn. Some of them I like transformed, some of them I don't. I love the drafts transformed, they look so fresh and new. I also like the horse lineart for that horse that has that partially blue color in it being changed. But then some of the others I don't. ^.^ I don't know. I kind of like all the different linearts, because I like how they look unique. I also feel like we shouldn't take the lineart from CS's history. It just doesn't seem right.

I think that we should do this :3
Its a great idea and would save a lot of time for the staff to make new items to fit all the horses.
And those draft lines

I agree with mkitten. The equimagine lines do appear as more realistic. I also agree that even though I'd be incredibly sad to lose the older ones, it is up to Nick and Tess for whether or not getting rid of them is best for the site.

A reminder that this thread isn't the place to debate about art theft. It's about whether or not you would like to see the old horse lines updated to the new horse lines (designs moved, etc), not about dragging an artist through the mud with allegations.

We have already given an explanation as to how the old lines came about so arguing about it is just spam and will be removed from this thread.

Although it may seem to make more sense to some to just make all the items to fit all the horse linearts, it would make more sense to change the horses and ponies. Otherwise, the artist making horse/pony items would not only have to make two versions (to fit the new lines), but would have to make four, to fit all the horse/pony lines. Although it would mean a lot of work to change all the old designs to the new linearts, I think it would be more practical to change the lines. Although I love the old lines, and although the art theft was an honest accident, I feel like the change would be the best course of action. :3
