I kind of don't want the old lines converted over, because it takes out some of the specialty of owning these horses. Now, instead of being unique, they'll look like all of the rest of the horses. I do like the new draft horse lines, though I am still quite fond of the old ones. I just wanted to say that even though the official value of these horses and ponies will stay the same, value will go down in my eyes and maybe in some other user's eyes too.

I had agreed before, but that is because I thought they would make a new release.
Please don't change them! I already love them the way they are.I don't want a change. Please don't do this to us! I love the adult ponies as well.Equimagine was a GREAT artist.Dont you think this would be a little rude to her, even though she isn't the artist anymore??What if she came back on and saw the new horses??If I were her,I'd be like:
"What the heck happened to my horses?!"
And I hope you have a button or switch to have players change line arts. That would be cool.

Well, I know that this would be a ton of work for the artists and the coders and everybody - but what if there was an option to view the pet in a certain lineart? Like, you could choose to view it in the old lineart or the new. It wouldn't change the pet, but you would be able to put items on it, and if you wanted to, you could always go back and see the classic, too.
It's just my two cents, because I don't really mind either way. The uniformity would be nice, obviously, but I think it would also be kind of sad to change such lovely designs.

It would also be cool to be able to collect both versions of the same design, like you can when a design is put on a different species.
Well, why not have both?
Maybe there can be a shop where you can "trade in" your horses? Some sort of button where you can decide to have to old lineart or the new? You'd have the same pet ID number you'd just be deciding on what art to use.
Honestly, I like the idea of being able to use items universally on horses, but some like the RBM and Buckskin PPS are kind of iconic. It would be like updating the CS dog lineart.
That is an awesome idea. Awesome awesome awesome. -attempts to "Like" that post-
Only problem I can see would be when people (probably newbies) are trading and they get confused at the different linearts and want some way to "prove" that they're trading the correct pet and that they'll get exactly the pet they want. This could be solved if we could press that art-changing button as many times as we want (so if someone doesn't believe they'll actually get the correct pet, then BAM the button is pressed, the lineart is changed, and they can confirm they'll get what they asked for) xD
And amen to that last paragraph.
Was your pet adopted December 18, any year, or December 24, 2011? It is most likely an older pet! CLICK ME to identify your pet!

Please consider your feelings about ALL of the horses and ponies. Having one of your favorite's changed might be worth it for the change to hundreds of others that you currently feel ambivalent about.
Tess does have a very good point here. I just suggest waiting until the new linearts to come out to judge them. (:

As I would also like the button to switch back to the original lineart but as said before, I don't know how that would be done. I'm afraid it would take a lot of coding. We'll just have to see what Nick can do.

Personally, I think that changing the old horses is taking away their uniqueness. Am I the only one on here who prefers the old horses and ponies? The dapple grey pony from 2009 with his forelock over his eye has been a dreamie of mine for a very long time, and if they change those pony lines, I will be so upset. I actually love the old draft horse lines, and while the new one is cute, I really want to keep things the same. What would happen if CS transformed the Warrior cats into the new cat lineart? I love the older horses the way they are, and the different linearts give them character. If you have to change it, go ahead, but I think a lot of people on here will be really unhappy.
