Ferret smiled, then padded off to the fresh-kill pile. She came back, bouncing lightly on her toes. "If I were to join this, uh, "clan", who would I ask?" she mewed curiously.

Swiftcreek gives a small dip of his head, and takes his seat beside Petalfall. He raises his right paw a bit, poised for attack. A small minnow gradually makes its way over to the felines, and once it was less than half a tail-length away, Swiftcreek's paws flash into the lake and scoop out the wriggling fish. "Your turn." he meows while inspecting the dying fish hooked on his claw. The tom looks at the she-cat beside him and smiles.

Petalfall purred with an impressed gleam in her bright blue eyes as she dipped her head. She stared quietly into the lake, her position ridgid and stiff before her claws flashed out and the tiny she-cat snatched at a young salmon, snatching the creature into her jaws and killing it in seconds. She purred brightly as she set it down next to Swiftcreek's catch.

"Nice catch!" Swiftcreek purrs. He silently watched the fish as they wriggled and flopped to their ends. He looks up to Petalfall, and chuckles. The silence between them was rather bothering for him. "So..." he mumbles awkwardly. "Could you tell me about your life before the fire? I never hear from others on their clan lives."

Petalfall blinked, honestly a bit startled by his question as she looked up at him with a soft sigh as she lowered her gaze. "I had a family, my mother and father, two great warriors. My mother was acutally in the nursery waiting to kit her second litter. I had two little brothers, Hawkswoop and Tigerclaw. Tigerclaw and Hawkswoop fought to become the best warriors in the clan, but Hawkswoop was lost in the fire, just like our parents but Tigerclaw and I made it out." SHe said looking down.

Still a bit unsure of his decision, which didn't surprise him, he was eased a bit when Duskpaw's tail patted his back. The tom was further comforted by his apprentice's soft purr, which helped to calm the mood. He relaxed a bit, and was glad when the young black cat introduced the topic of a hunting competition. A faint smile appeared on Raccoonstrike's muzzle, his tail lifting with a happier feeling. "It sure will be!" he meowed with genuine excitement, and launched himself after Duskpaw. He was glad of the sudden mood change, no doubt on purpose, and thought it was a grand idea anyway, something they could enjoy while working. He sped across the ground, leaves flying, until he reached the river a few steps behind the apprentice. It was not a huge, wide river, but it was definitely more than a trickling stream. He approached it, tasting the mist-sprayed air.

Guys, I don't think we made ourselves clear. Posting an image in every post is not allowed, regardless of what it is. These warrior cat banners you have are really nice, but as Hekomi said, they slow down the server.

Mistypaw dagged her mentor's paws and jumped on his back,"You Spring onto opponent's back and grip with unsheathed claws, or in our case sheathed claws so no one gets hurt. Now you are beyong the range of your opponent's paws and in position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way. Watch for the drop-and-roll countermove, and try to jump free before you get squashed." She playfully hissed back as she stayed on his back.
