story;;
"The cold night tingled the back of his neck as the Lumi walked gingerly through the meadow. His pawsteps hardly made a sound, apparently the giant could be as quiet as a mouse. As he moved, the wind seemed to blow harder and harder at him, warning him to get out, warning him to get away, but he simply ignored it. There was nothing that would stop him from getting what he wanted.
There was a large rock off to the side of the meadow, and a rather peculiar rock at that. It seemed to have chunks melted onto the ground, almost making a pathway for the Lumi to go up it. And if you looked carefully, you could see large pawsteps melted into the rock... But if you looked even closer, there were tiny pawsteps right beside them, those were the ones he traced.
Moving so as to not make a sound, the Lumi's eyes twinkled as he set foot at the peak of the rock. He walked about the rock, but only where the tiny paws were. He finally sat down at the center of the rock, and gazed up at the sky longingly. Oh, how I wish it were me instead of you, Papa, he thought to himself, then maybe... Ah... I don't know. He lost all his sentimental words, but he didn't lose his ability to look at the sky.
Each and every flaming star appeared to grow brighter, and more fiery as he looked at them longer. He smiled,
through thick and thin, the stars would always be his friends."
"Wow.... Indy, are the stars really our friends?" Icendio, out of his storytelling mojo, grabbed the little lumi and rubbed his head, "Of course they are, they are always your fri-" but another one interrupted him, "Wait a minute! What happened to that Lumi's Papa? You never told us!"
He put down the lumi he had been holding, and he got a nasty idea. "Oh... So you want to know?" He raised an eyebrow, orange eyes shining, "Yes!" They all said at once, "Are you sure? It might be a little scary." "We're tough, we can take anything." One of them said. He smirked, "Alright, you asked for it."
Right as he was about to start, a female lumi came by and said, "Incendio, you're not trying to scare them again are you?" Upon seeing the lumi his age, his body motions became more awkward, and his voice much quieter/non-fluid, "Oh no, of course not... I was just about to... send them to bed!" he looked at her expectantly.
"Of course you were," she held out the 'o', being sarcastic. She knew that he wasn't about to send them to bed, but anyway, it was bed time. "Come now little lumis, it's time for bed!" They all groaned, "Indy, do we hafta?" He looked around at them and put out a pouty lip, "Yes, come on. Little lumis need their sleep!" He winked at the one who was complaining the most, making sure that the older lumi couldn't see. The lumi smiled a bit.
They gave all the lumis their soft blankets and sent them to sleep. Incendio said goodnight to them all and pretended to go to bed. Once he was certain the other teen was alseep he got up.
Through the trees he could see all the twinkling stars. He smiled, he knew that they would always be there for him.
Then he slunk to go and get the small lumis, careful not to wake any adults up.
