BTD Name:

Lekhana

Meaning:
Lekhana is a Sanskrit name that means, writing or painting. I believe this to be a very unusual and soft name for her, that not only literally describes what she does, but who she is. She see's the entire world as a painting and can see forms and shapes in mundane things, that help her to create her works of art.

Art Medium:
Lekhana is a little unusual, as her art medium of preference is silver smithing! She loves to create wire sculptures and make beautiful intricate jewelery. Under her nearly magical paws the metal comes to life, forming itself willingly into her visions. She treats each strand of wire as a friend more than a tool or instrument. She also loves to take pictures of nature, i think they help her create her wire sculptures.

I would imagine that this is the kind of photograph that she might take. I actually did take this photo myself! Sorry, I meant to actually make traditional art, but homework got in the way...

Paprika

This fiery little Jewel-type Lumirett boy really can be described as being the spice of life! He tends to be very energetic, and adores wiggling his cute little eyebrows at the pretty lady Lumiretts! X3

Personality:
Energetic ~ Lovable ~ Curious ~ Adventurous

Backstory:
Paprika has never really known a family, but always managed to find his way into Chinese restaurants... where he eventually ended up being adopted by one of the Sous Chefs! He now spends much of his time helping out the kitchen staff by carrying spices back and forth to the cooks. He always knows which spices to use together, making him a very valuable helper! In his spare time, he enjoys annoying my other Lumirett, Fios. He is about the only living creature that can bring out the "fun" more emotional side in Fios. On one particularly thrilling evening, he even convinced his normally unexcitable friend to watch some amazing fireworks. That was one of the first times that he saw her face light up with untameable joy.

Favorite Food:

Everything spicy ~ 'nuff said.

Fios

Her name means knowledge in Celtic. Fios loves to know things about people, and because she has a perfect memory she can remember everything that she learns about them.

Fios is mysterious, a bit of a recluse, down to earth and basically the opposite of her close friend, Paprika! These two remind me a little of a Yin and Yang couple! (Of course, they aren't actually a couple... and I really wouldn't call them a couple to their faces either, if I were you!)

Wise~ Calm ~ Mystical ~ Reclusive ~ Intuitive

Backstory:

You want to hear my stories? Let me tell you a little bit about my past.... but the rest, I will save for myself to reflect upon.

When Fios was born into this world her strange markings shocked everyone in the delivery room. She instantly had their attention, and her open gray swirling eyes enchanted all that saw her. Some shunned her bizarre calm, and lack of anger, while other looked up to her (even when she was a child) with deep respect. Fios, has always moved through life at an easy, pace. When encountered with difficulties, or bullies that tried to push her around, all is took was a single resounding stare to put them in their place. By some she is known to be a witch, but by many others she is simply known as an excellent herbalist and tarot card reader. She will even "prescribe" a combination of healing crystals and teas to cure certain illnesses and body aches.

Hobbies:
She keeps a herb garden in your backyard, and loves to nurture her garden. She also has a thing for tarrot cards and crystals. Fios always carry an amethyst stone around her neck as well.

The Marked

She, who has no known name keeps all secrets to herself along with all of the knowledge and powers of her world, is the sharpest thorn of them all.

Her stone cold ice eyes give no impression of possibilities of affection, joy or grief over past actions. They hold no regret, or mercy or disgust. Only distain, hardness and cruelty can be found behind that menacing stare. Scars mark her body, her soul and gives her a bizarre pride, dispite the twisted story of her path.

Personality:
Cold ~ Aggresive ~ Sociopath ~ Cruel ~ Proud

Backstory:
Can you see them? Hundreds of tiny scares mar her otherwise flawless pelt. They curve around her own markings, and follow the length of her body. What made her cold as ice - whose cruel beauty tames the iron willed?

The story is as horrible as the marks that she bears.

One kingdom,

Taija

Hi there! People call me spunky! (Actually, my name is Taija, I bet that you didn't guess that!!!)

Personality:
Up-Beat ~ Picky ~ "Original" ~ Fashionable ~ Eccentric


A Story of Ponies Long Gone:
Long, long ago, there was an old race of ponies whose cutie marks showed, not the simple symbol that represented their talents, but a far older set of ancient runes. These runes were only ever seen on those among the ponies that could understand the powers that they percieved and in some cases could wield. These strange markings where thought to be cursed and shamful things by the other regular ponies. However, this assement was FAR from the truth. These cutie marks were derived from elemental and cosmic understandings, and "abilites". Most of these ponies were shunned from society, because none could understand their strange ways. They were cast off, and their abilities were lost to the ends of the world.

Until now....

New ponies have emerged with these bizarre markings, and have brought back the old understandings. This pony's markings ^^, symbolizes the flow of the unvierse and that all life and energy is connected on various "levels" (what those "levels" are, can be interpreted in many different ways, of which I won't go into here.) This arcane magic is as old as the power of friendship itself (of course much less powerful seeing that it has spawned in an individual instead of a group), and therfore must be used wisely, and be kept in the hooves of those that can understand the powers they wield. For this reason, these ponies tend to be reclusive and stay on the fringes of pony society, in fear of being discovered for what they really are.

Taija is wise and thoughtful, but can't physically affect anything with her talent. She can percieve the flux of life and emotional energies. These "visions" come to her in waves of life, that she see glowing around people, animals, pets, EVERYTHING! It is like her eyes can see the energy of life that is being radiated off of the living. This reminds her that no matter what, everyone is connected to eachother through our common mingling vibes and colors of life.

Favorite Accesories:
My main mare over here -Taija- wears knit hoove gloves (like mine, but for hands! XD) and a pendant that symbolises life itself. I've actually made the pendant out of clay that she wears. I won't bore you with the details, but the pendant basically represents the essence that we, as intellectual and emotional beings have in connection with the natural and non-physical world.

Drizzle


Talent:
Drizzle works at her own specialty coffe shop - where she not only makes coffee, but also spends much of her time inventing specialty drinks for all of her best customers and friends. Her gift is knowing instantly what kind of drink each and every one of her clients desire. For that reason, her little shop is full of ingredients; there isn't a menu in sight! Drizzle doesn't need recipies, she instead creates her own on spot.

Personality:
Drizzle has a flair for the artistic and makes each one of her drinks reflect that fact. Every coffee, hot chocolat or even the occaisional tea (she has difficulties making tea however) is adorned with flakes of chocolat, slices of strawberries or sometimes even caramel chunks! Everything that comes out of her shop is not only made to taste like absolute perfection, but is made to look as appealing as possible to boot. XD

Drizzle takes pride in her work, and has never once been called an underachiever in her life. Everything has to be "just so", otherwise Drizzle has been known to scrap entire projects just to fix a small detail.

Drizzle is also a little high maintenance for that reason. In her attempt to perfect the world around her, she has been known to annoy friends and family with her constant need to keep things to her "level" of expectations. She gets.... upset when things don't go her way.

Overall, Drizzle has a very strong A-type personality that is as beneficial in her workplace as it is negative in her personal life.

Oria
This name is a variant of the name Aura.

Hello! My name is Oria, and I am have lived for awhile...

Age? What age? Oria doesn't know the meaning of the word. All that she can sense are the connections that hold our world together, the deep connections that keep everything form ripping apart. She feels the connections that each person, animal and unorganic thing has tying it down to this world. To her, life is not some great big puzzle to figure out, but a series of strings that ground us and stop everything we know and love from floating away... and she is as ageless as the connections themselves.

Personality:
A conflicted young wolf that, in one level of her personality, is bubbly and energetic and sociable. However, if you delve deeper into her phyche it becomes apparent that she is so much more than what she brings forth to her outer personality. She is a shell, for Oria protects herself from the true pain and darkness that surrounds her by summoning all of her strength to fight her daily battle - life's itself. An aura is ultimately an illusion. While the aurora borelias may be pretty to behold, they aren't substantial. This is the key to understanding Oria completly.

Vesta
This name because it comes from the Latin form of a Greek word, Hestia, meaning "altar, hearth, fireside." In Roman mythology, this is the name of a goddess of the hearth.

Gender of Pup: Female

Personality: Very outgoing and fun. Her flaming pelt wavers when she is excited, dampers when she is sad, flares and flashes when she is angry, but mostly, her blue flames gives off warmth to her friends and often flashes with fiery flames when her enemies draw near. Her outgoing nature, draws friends towards her, but she is passionate and sometimes makes friends as easily as she loses them, when something upsets her. She loves with all her soul, and hates with the same passion. She is wiery and strong, persistant and courageous, and despite being different (and kept in a cage in a lab for the majority of her life where she was borne), she remains nearly always is positive.

Story: This is a narrative story poem, my personal strength lies in my poetry, not in my story writing, I hope that you accept this form instead of a traditional story...

Themesong: I think that the song "Mad World" really suits her! I particulairly like Adam Lamberts version, so I think that that shall be her themesong, mysterious, strong, dark, a little deranged, passionate and intoxicating!

Aphra

During the darkest of nights, the stars shine the brightest.

Name Meaning: Aphra means "color of the earth" in Arabic.

Aphra is very connected to the earth and those around her. She needs quiet much of the time, and lives near a lake in the woods to calm her. She isn't shy.... per say, but she isn't all that interested in other people and animals, and much prefers living in her own world than anyone else's. She has a thing for colors though, and decorates the trees around where she lives with the ornate beads that she makes out of clay with her paws and paints.

They sound like chimes when they move and "clink" together in the breeze.
