Kite grazed.

Jace smiled at Desert Rose. He looked at Lily and sighed. He followed her and slightly lowered his head "You don't have to have a foal with me." He told her softly. "As long as you don't want one, I won't force you." He said and nuzzled her neck then walked back to the center of his herd to watch over his mares.

(Just for golden, it's the fifth day of summer. )

Devil looked up, trotting over to Rose once more as he nickered to his two mares to start preparing for a long journey. It was currently summer, but he could feel the winds getting colder. It was prime time for their journey as it wasnt unbearably hot, but it wasnt too cool either. He looked at Rose curiously. "Yes?"

"I'll mate" Rose snorted as she stood up hoping it didn't sound rude.

Meadow
a carnivouras animal aproached her. she whinnied loudly for Devil. he should havebeen here,and not ran off to a mare who's not even in his herd!!! she thought

Breeze
he hears a whinnie and see's a mare in trouble. he looks at Devil and snorts thinking that Devil should be helping the poor mare. he trots over to Devil and says "Your mare is in need of some help". he stops and says "If you will not help I will, even though she's not in my herd, because I protect mares from danger". he added "Unlike you". he see's Rose and said "Was he bothering you"? "Because I can help you too".

{Thats a bit rude, Rose is waiting to be accepted in Devil's herd, and he's only a few yards away.}

(Yes, I agree. In your post you did not give me time to react, so I think that's unfair. You cant start just blaming me cause Im not online, dude.)

Devil nodded. "Alright, welcome to my herd." He said gently.

(Fade)

After getting down, Devil nuzzled Rose, nudging her towards her sister. He suddenly saw the carnivourous animal, and heard the whinney. Pushing Rose a little harshly towards the herd-he kept tabs to apologise to her later- he broke into a trot as Meadow was only a few paces away, so he did not want to crash into her.

Suddenly, though, Breeze cut in and started talking. Devil ignored the ignorant colt, just giving him a good kick in the whithers. "Get out of my way, colt." He said, irritated as he pushed Breeze aside. He would settle things with Breeze later, right now his mare was in danger. Going over to the cougar(im gonna guess that was what it was.) He kicked it square in the head, hearing the loud crack. Finding this an opportunity to vent his anger, he kicked at it a few more times, hearing a few more cracks to ascertain what he already knew. The cat was dead. It felt good to finally vent some of the frustration, though.

Nuzzling Meadow, he nudged her back towards the herd, getting in between Breeze and his mares once more, livid with anger. "Dont interfere. I knew what I was doing. If you hadnt cut in I would have reached her sooner." His ginger hair flared, and his tail raised, large and threatening. He took a few breaths, calming down. "Shut your yap, you inconsistent stallion. You said you cared about free will, then you force Rose. You say you protect mares from danger, but you almost got Meadow killed. I am not a kind stallion. I am a cruel, dark, and controlling one. But at least my mares know what they can expect from me, unlike you." He said, getting angry again.

How dare this stallion, whose actions always conflicted his words, try to tell him what to do! He gave Breeze a harsh nip, as though horses did not usually harm others, depending more on intimidation and things like that, thrice Breeze had threatened his herd, despite warnings. Thrice he had interfered. Thrice was he a pain, and for Devil, that was three times too many.

Rose galloped in the direction Devil nudged her so he could save the other mare. {Actuall, it would probably be a leopard since it's next to a forest terrain} As she saw Devil kill the cat she looked away, a beutiful creature was killed, it could have just bin startled to leave, but they had to end it's life.

Iris looked at Breeze and bared her teeth as she looked at Devil, ready to go.

Oh. Whoops. Ah well...)

Devil waited for Breeze to leave, standing his ground. He knew thy had to start moving as he would have moved them already according to his normal schedule. But he wouldnt move. In a stand off like this, what mattered was who put the pressure, and who yielded. Devil was now putting pressure on Breeze, but Breeze would move before Devil moved away. It was a show of dominance, of standing. Devil was not about to lose. It irritated him, though. Mares usually gave one a sense of social standing. The fact that one with no mares was challenging him infuriated him no end. It just didnt work that way, and Devil had to show it. He wondered slightly if Breeze was born in the wild. If he was human raised, it would explain a lot. Human raised horses were weaker, less instinctual, less simple. Usually, it ended up in them being dull, and dying. They didnt care as much about instincts after all, and in the wild, instincts were what saved you.

Devil noticed how Rose was though, how she looked away. He felt like explaining to her now, but he couldnt, and wouldnt, focus his attention on something rather then the irritating piece of flesh in front of him. He wanted to tell her the sense in killing the thing. By killing it, he had thus warded off the other animals, made them think twice, which improved their safety. Also, if he had merely scared the animal, it would learn that as long as he was there, it couldnt attack. Which might turn out bad. What if one day he got sick, or his leg got injured? The animal would then strike immediately, as it knew he was weakened. And he would not let something hurt his herd. He exhaled in a loud snort, as he waited for Breeze's answer.

Rose looked at Devil and nodded understandingly of how he thought the animal to be a threat, but she was a tall and strong mare. She could fight for herself, and for her family, but now she guessed Devil was in charge of it. {Your so mean, now I have to write long stuff } As her gaze fell apon breeze Rose decided it would be better to move the herd a bit farther from the stallion incase he tried to pull something. As she gently nudged her sister towards another part of the beach about twenty yards away, she nudged the other mare to join them aswell.

she looked at Devil and said thank you to him before turning to Breeze and saying "Insteed of telling Devil, you could have saved me"! she looked back at Devil and said "Please stay closer to me next time though". she smiled at him and nuzzled him and turned to Rose and asked "So, your with us now"? she smiled


Breeze
he nipped Devil back and said "It's not my fualt she was being attacked, nor is it my fault that she could have died". he kicked Devils rump hard and said "Well I'm going". he snorts and gallops away.

she nuzzled Jace and smiled

(( I'm thinking about making Breeze die by drowning or Devil. I'm not trying to be evil or anything, but I want alittle more action. Plus I want to make a new stallion because I just don't like breeze anymore. Hes too obnoxoius and just ugh))
