Damon shook his head," your face.. " he murmured quietly knowing that if anyone was to ask him about his bruises he would feel awkward and sick to his stomach." I'm sorry I shouldn't judge should I?" He asked.

Charlie looks at him, "Are the bruises really giving me a bad image?" he sighs, "I guess it all depends, if your homelife has been hard than maybe, I won't judge for your opinion, if your lifes been heavenly and full of everything you've ever wanted, then no, you can't judge, because you have no idea."

Damon gaughed and rolled his eyes," Pssh tell me about. Those people crawl under my skin..." He mummbled under his breath before pretending to be one of those people," oh noo my life is over because daddy wouldn't give me his credit card to go get the dress that I really wanted, on top of that he told me that I actually have to get a job to pay for these things.....eww work!" Rolling his eyes once more, Damon couldn't believe how well he could pull that off." If only they knew what it is like to have to work to even eat. Tohave to live without a mother, and to have to deal with a drunken father who does nothing but horrible things...." He ranted softly to himself as he burried his face within his arms.

Charlie gently pats the boys shoulder, being extra careful in case there was a bruise nearby. "I know how that is. Try getting good grades in school on top of all of that. He expects the world from me and if he doesn't get it," he shakes his head. "SOmehow I managed, but you're right, those kids have no right."

"grades? Pshhh who has time for them anymore? " Damon murmured somewhat comforted by the boy. He sighed and nodded. " my names Damon.." he said as he held out his hand to the boy.

"I think you've said that, but I'm Charlie," CHarlie says and shakes the boy's hand.

Damon blushed," sorry I-I have a horrible memory.... And I'm not the brightest lightbulb on the pack.." He murmured under his breath. He had been called stupid so many times beforehand that he was begging to believe it himself. "Carlie is it? I like it.." He said with a sigh as he twisted an armband around his wrist.

"I think your bright, and you're the only one who's bothered being kind to me. You're smart, just smart in a different way than they are, and I mean that in a good way." Charlie says and smiles.

Damon smiled slightly and looked over at Charlie." I-I can't read... I have dyslexia. My memory is horrible... I-I'm not smart... Just kind an understanding..." He said breathily as he wipes his eyes on his hoodie.

"Well, I can ready to you, help you remember stuff, and I'll protect you if anyone tries to hurt you, sound good? I'd really like to be your friend." Charlie says.
