Appearance
- Libress Lions can come with multiple mutations including horns, custom horns are rare, but can occur.
- 4 legs instead of 6 is quite rare, but can occur.
- It is extremely rare to find a Libress lion without gemstones, but one with fewer is uncommon.
- Their manes are often darker then the body colour.
- They are often darker or cooler colours & It is very rare to find a pale or warm colour libress.
- Libress Lions often TOWER over the average sized human.
Habitat
- Often live in caves on mountains.
- Libress Lions found underground on flat land often are pale or warmer due to the climate they live in.
- Libress Lions can make their gems glow and when in a well light area (ie. outside) will 'turn their gems off'.
Behaviour
- Libress Lions have trouble seeing in broad daylight, though have a keen sense of smell.
- They hunt and eat meat like their cousin the Lion.
- Unlike their cousin the lion, Libress often send the males out to hunt while the females care for the babies.
- Libress breed all year round though it has been found they can only fall pregnant once they are 4 years old (4 weeks old)
- Libress Lions can be aggitated easily, but are not agressive.
- Because of this attitude, Libress Lions are easy to tame and can be ridden once a strong bond is found.
- Though ridable, Libress do not like anything harnessing them. So you better be ready to hold on.
Other Characteristics
- Can live until they are 50 years of age on average. Can live until they are about 60 - 70 but that is rather rare.
- Often are found in pairs or packs
- Packs usually are around 4 - 8 Libress lions, with usually one dominant male, and his mate.
- Libress usually have one mate. But it has been seen that a MALE has moved onto another mate.
- Female libress often do not find 2nd mates
- Libress can have up to 4 lybre (young) in a litter.
- A baby Libress Lions techniqual term is a Lybre (pronounced lie - bray)
