Extra:
Darkness dawned upon the skies as the beginning of the end of another day began. The beautiful nymph-like stars crawled out from their darkening blanket and their now more prominent twinkles signifying they were ready to play. Their companion, the moon, shone even brighter. Tonight, the heavens showed no signs of shyness.
Little did these beautiful stars and noble moon know of the existence of the mortal being that gazed upon their play every night. Who perched upon the canopy of the forest and eyes reflected their bright glow. This ‘existence’ was a very curious Kiamara named Almein.
His dark green fur bristled excitedly as he gazed upon them, perfectly camouflaged into the foliage of the forest. Well, all besides his eyes. They were a bright, bright red. However, the expression he had on his face would not make you think ‘menacing’. It would remind you more of a child who had just been recently introduced to the more wondrous parts of science, such as astronomy, archeology, and zoology.
It was a look of pure innocent curiosity. He looked upon the stars for hours, undisturbed, with a fascination that never ran dry.
It came sudden and fast, like a strike from a cobra. Almein was too uninterested in his surroundings and too emerged in his thoughts to noticed before-hand. The vegetation rustled uneasily one moment, making him react just before he was tackled by a slightly smaller body, causing both of them to fall from the safety of the tall trees.
“AAAH!” Two voices intertwined as they both fell from the perch. They were caught by a several large, thick and supportive leaves near the forest floor before they could fall to their death.
Both gasped for air, having the wind knocked out of them. Almein was the first to stumble back onto his feet, and quite angrily at that.
“FARORE! Why did you do that!?” Almein looked flustered, but not angry. He was a Kiamara of mind, honestly, and had no intention of fighting his best friend.
She smirked, and then her teeth showed and she broke into all-out laughter. “The look on your face right now, Almein! My dear friend, it’s truly priceless, I’ll give you that!”
He frowned once again, his red eyes still remaining just as innocent as they were when he was gazing at the stars. Even now, after both of them had received their feathers, he could not bring himself to do more than frown when they were arguing. However, Almein was truly angry this time. He turned around, walking away from Farore.
“Aw, Almein, I’m sorry. You just kept gazing at those old stars, I started getting worried you lost your head for a second there.”
Unlike Almein, Farore was most self-confident about herself and more about living in the moment. Her hair fell in a beautiful wild wave; Almein’s just nearly blocked his eyes from seeing properly and was grown just as wildly as Farore’s. However, this was mostly because he couldn't keep it calm. Not that he particularly cared about appearances.
Almein kept walking, his footsteps light against the leaf that supported them, seeing as it could give away at any moment. Of course, it wouldn’t. Not where Almein treaded. He knew the forest like the end of his tail or the feathers that decorated it.
