From a lab that had been though to have dissapeared years and years ago,
some creatures have escaped from the horrible conditions of the abandoned lab
and have made their way into the tundras and plains of North America and
have made their way as a predator in the ecosystem.

Few people have been able to even spot them, many see them as a myth.
But I assure you they are real and they are out there.

They live in small groups of 5-6 Strix and hunt small animals such as
rabbits, pika, some birds, even lizards and frogs if they can. Only
being about the size of a small dog they can be preyed on by wolves, bears,
even foxes sometimes.

Their face is flattened under the mask that they always wear, it never comes
off for it fuses to the bone on their face. Their mouth on their chest can drool at times,
though it is toxic to other animals but them. Their eyes also always glow no matter the time of day

FAQs

Q: Strix, I've heard that before, where?
A: Strix, or Strigidae, is a genus of owl actually, they are also known as the Wood Owls or Earless Owls.

Q. Why Strix if it's an owl name?
A: Had a nice ring to it and I liked it, I almost used Strix Parvidae which will be their scientific name.

Q: Will you take Guest Artists?
A: At some point yes

Q: Can Strix ever have front legs?
A: No, that's how I made the species and I don't want them to have front legs is all

Q: You will be hiring mods and artists?
A: Yes, in the beginning I will hire 2-3 artists and the same amount for mods, I may have an artist contest later if I need more artists.

Q: So you will do customs?
A: Yes, But in the beginning no. I would like to wait some time before hand

Customs are closed

There are very few people who have gotten familiar enough with the Strix to find and nurture a custom of their own, they are very rare for the species and can be obtained when you give them a shiny object of their choice that can influence their colors, shape, and even their mask at times.
Sometimes even the place you found the object will affect the Strix, such as if you specify sea glass it may make the markings duller or the colors more pastel. Or if you specify something like an old marble, it may make the markings spotted or make them have marbled patterns. Or of you use a crystal it may make them have sharper markings or claws.
You can influence traits as well, such as claws, blindness, even accessories by certain objects.
The object must be something collected by you otherwise the bond between Strix and owner may be weak. You also can explain why you think the object will do what it may to the Strix, it may increase your chances of it influencing.
Custom Strix can never be neon though.
We will not create customs based off of characters at the moment. You can request marking shapes and such but we won't make then after other characters.

Giving the Strix costs a fee though, only a wishlist rare, and you choose the object you wish to give them, and influence the Strix and it will be created.
