Isn't it so funny that I can afford all of the rares on my wishlist, but I can't get them because my pet is way more valuable and I cannot trade down at all?

Oh wow..this is a first for me..I seem to be mistaken that I am quiting.I am not quiting and I doubt I ever will.And if i someday do choose to quit I would keep a limit to how many pets each person can take.Main point,no I am not quiting.
