There is this pretty dress I bought on eBay ( I know it's not that reliable >< ) and I really like it, it's not exactly Lolita though but could I still wear lolita things with it?

Of course you could still wear Lolita items with it! (: I still wear my accessories, bows and such with non-loliable clothing myself. You could make something casual out of it ^^ It would be easier if I could see what exactly you bought, though. It could be something that may work for a casual coordinate.

Free dress days are a godsend.
I haven't gotten any negative feedback...Yet So I'm feeling confident!

☆The day is over~ It wasn't a full co-ord or anything. A cute skirt with minimal poof petticoat, stripey, lacy knee-socks and a matching tee-shirt. I was nervous at the beginning of the day, because I didn't know what to expect.
First comment I get was something close to "Oh wow, that's really cool! Where did you get it?"
And from there, it was really nothing but compliments.

I got two negative mentions, (Following each other :I) One by a moron trying to be funny and making himself look stupid because a random older student told him to back off, the other my best friends sister. Neither hurt me in the slightest! It might have affected me at the start of the day, but being in such a supportive environment...I love it.
One of my friends wanted to take a photo, and I happily agreed! She promised not to post it anywhere, and I told her it was okay to if she was saying positive stuff Q u Q

Overall: Absolutely amazing, I want to do it again for sure. I guess I just get my thrills from frills.

It's great that you got such good responses! <3 I'd wear lolita on Thursday to own clothes day, but I know that the reception in my school will be an unwelcome one, and it's not practical, really, given the subjects I take ; u;

I'd mostly be worried about my art class; I'm one of the tidier students but I wouldn't want to risk getting anything on my lolita like art materials. They might not come out easily of them ;u;

I'm actually planning to purchase some clothes from the second hand Livejournal community ; u; I'm rather excited to do so.

Sharni wishes she could wear lolita to collage, but when I go is full of chavs so it would not be a very warm welcome... And I am moving to a new collage next year which I will be doing a cooking course, so... not very lolita friendly me thinks ^^
