She spun around, taking her paws off the bramble she had been clearing, and scooted in the direction of the sound. She halted in front of the dark tabby tom (Kane), who was supporting a grey tabby she-cat (Thornflower). Sprucepaw's ears pricked and she gave a soft sniff of concern. "Can I help?" she mewed in her quiet voice, in case he wanted only Shiverwhisker.
