Slowly, Emmy got up. Her bones Ached a bit, but she gradually got out of the stairway, and looked at the road. Running with not looking at all, she tried to cross the road. it was smooth, yet burning hot. It was mid-day, and the bright lights of a Car Whizzed closer, and Closer. Like a Dear in Headlights, she stared wide eyes as the semi-large truck came inches closer and closer to her, and suddenly the most outraging burst of speed hit her, making her cringe so hard. she was flung across the black road, Smearing blood. both legs Broke.. and cracked hip for sure.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=--

Whining with So much pain, Emmy whimpered. "Any..- Ahah!" She Screeched in pain. Didnt anyone hear her? "Ahh!" She whimpered again, pain cracking her voice. Was she gonna die right here??

(My Char is so alone.. >.> So I Caused Scratches. Someone want to Find her?"

((I'll have Rookie come))

Rookie and Killer raced along the pavement, trying to find some sort of peace from the cramped rampage they'd been in a moment before. Rookie slowed his paws to a stop as he noticed a dog dart across the road. He felt his heart drop as he heard the horn of a semi, and it was too close for comfort. His teeth ground together as fear rushed through him like a lightning strike, and he felt every bone in his body freeze. "RUN!" he barked as loud as his lungs would allow. It felt as if Rookie had barked his vocal cords up, but it wasn't enough. The semi hit her with bone crushing force, and all he could do was stare. It felt like time itself had stopped, as if everything was frozen around him, and he was powerless.

Forcing himself to his paws, Rookie darted for the poor creature, a car grazing his fur as he managed to barely dodge it. His paws felt as if they were bloody he had ran so fast and hard to the dog, but he ignored the stinging in his pads. "My god, are you okay! No, MY GOD! Um, what’s your name," he asked, panicking. He realized he HAD to get her out of there; but Killer was too frozen in horror to move; he was on his own. He grabbed her scruff, trying to haul her to the nearest curb which was across the street from Killer. It was only two or three feet; surely he could drag her there without causing too much damage!?

He hauled her over to the soft grass that met his under paw. He had been tugging to hard, he hadn't realized he'd made it over the sidewalk and into a grassy clearing; where he lay her down gently. He crouched down next to her, analyzing what damage had been done. Both her legs, broken. That seemed to be the worst damage done, but there was nothing he could do for her! In blinding panic, Rookie howled as loud as possible, over and over, hoping to catch some human's attention. He knew most dogs here didn't trust them, but Rookie understood not all people were bad. Skyler wasn't bad, and there was nothing he could've done to help Rookie. Desperate, he howled louder, barked and howled; anything to get someone's attention...

"How long has she been gone?" Aleixo asked as he gave the pup a curious sniff before looking at the hook that was attached to the female's color. He reached his neck forward, examinging the hook. His eyes flickered to the pitbull mix's neck, seeing her collor, then trying to remember the feeling of one. He flashed a glanced at his black, collor less neck. He shook his head before going back to messing around with the hook. After messing with the hook for a bit, he finally slipped the hook off of the collor, freeing the pup. Aleixo looked at her. "Look," He said, still in the gentless voice he could manage. "If she's been gone long, your Jordan has probably.." He added. He stopped, not knowing what to really say. What, say 'Sorry pup, but your human left you'? No that's not right. He thought for a moment before speaking. "She probably already left." Aleixo added again, finding it the only way to say it not in such a harsh way.

Rocky watched as his new Golden Retriever friend took off down the nearest alley and he nodded his good bye to him before he left. He turned back around to face Cracker and sat down on his haunches, letting out a low, exhausted yawn. "Meeting new strays sure does make you tired, huh?" he smiled slightly and stretched his front paws out so he was in a laying down position. He lowered his huge black and tan head so it was resting on his large, over-sized paws.

Scarlett looked at the other Australian Shepherd. She knew that's what breed he was, she could always recognise her own breed. She noticed the male's smile and couldn't help smiling back. She then let out a soft sigh when he asked what her story was. "Well I did start my life in the pound after some people found my mother, abandoned and heavily pregnant. After she had me and my brother, we were all put up for adoption. Luckily my brother was adopted straight away and my mother shortly after but for some reason, nobody wanted me." Scarlett let out a small sigh. "They needed more kennels and because I was unwanted, they chucked me out onto the streets. I've lived as a stray fr the rest of my life." she let out another, longer sigh.

Charlie sat up once he had finished eating. He licked his lips and sniffed the air once more. The german shepherd padded off, looking for somewhere in the shade to sleep.

Cracker quietly watched Rocky and Rookie's exchange, but never took her eyes off of Killer. He lay her half of the hot dog at her paws and bowed. "This is not my half," was all he said before taking off. Though she never got a chance to thank him, she barked her thanks into the night air. She munched on the dog until she heard a terrified howl. Rookie... Oh God! Something could have happened to him. She left Rocky for a moment and came bolting. Rookie was screaming for help when she reached him. "What, what?! I'm, here!!!"

((Figured I should start writing smaller. Lol. My posts are taking up too much room!))

The Collie asked Jasmine how long Jordan had been gone. Just last night, Jordan had told Jasmine to stay at a lamp post not far down the street. The mix had found it odd, that Jordan would simply tell her to stay; not tying her up and then walking off. Fear bolted through Jasmine, not even noticing the Collie had freed her. She was thankful, but too in shock by what came next...'If she's been gone long, your Jordan has probably..' -pause- 'She probably already left.' These dogs’ words frightened her. Jordan hadn't been gone too long, had she!? It was just last night! Surely there was still time.

Jasmine looked down at her paws, unable to accept the fact that she had been abandoned; and for the second time! She looked up to the Collie, tears pooling in her eyes as she replied, "Well, Jordan went missing yesterday... after she left me at that lamp post down the street..." Jasmine looked over at the lamp post, disgust taking the place of her appearance. She looked back at the Collie, a tear streaming down her cheek as she asked, "What's wrong with me?" she was too much in shock a denial to explain that she had been abandoned before; that this wasn't the first time. She just stared, more and more tears coming as she waited for his answer.

Jasmine had been abandoned before. Her parents were fighting dogs, and their owner (and hers) had left them a few days after she was born. She was rescued by what seemed to be police officers that brought her to an adoption center; where she was nursed back to health after nearly dying due to lack of water and food. Then Jordan came. The two of them were so perfect together; they always were until a few weeks ago. Jordan had been having a hard time keeping up with her cash flow; being in collage and having a dog didn't seem to be working out so well. Slowly Jasmine's meals were getting smaller and smaller; all leading up to that night. Jordan had left in tears!

It was all making sense now...

Jasmine had been abandoned...

Rookie was too busy howling and barking in hysteria that he hadn't even heard Cracker approach; let alone her help she seemed to be offering. People seemed to be ignoring him, just passing by as if nothing had happened! His eyes scanned the crowd wildly; and his barks became more desperate, pleading for someone to help! This time he heard Killer approach from across the street, and explain to Cracker; but he didn't pay any attention to the two. Rookie was getting frantic, almost angry. Why wasn't anyone helping! Two, three dogs couldn't do anything to help this dog! Only a vet; where Rookie's family would take him for check ups and when he had broken his tail... What was he suppose to do if no one would help!?!

((There's really just not much to say here... Are we allowed to act random people? Or have like the dog catcher or something show up?))

Killer stood, stricken in horror at the scene that had just played before him. He was jerked to reality as a large flash of brown passed him, and he recognized it as Cracker! Surely an ex-police dog would know what to do!? He dashed after her, dodging cars as they zoomed past; too hyped up on adrenaline to let fear for his life sink in. He reached the other side after what seemed like an eternity, and crouched next to the dog that Rookie had dragged across the street. He sniffed her pelt, trying to figure out the damage done. Two broken legs... This was fatal, something he was sure none of them could handle.

His gaze was ripped up from the injured dog to Cracker who asked frantically what was wrong. "She's broken two legs... and she may have some other trauma somewhere in there..." he said calmly, not wanting to frighten the dog by becoming frantic like Rookie over there... Killer looked back to the female, trying to find out if she was even alive. "Hello? I'm Killer. Can you tell me your name?" he asked, praying that she was still alive...

Dakota listened gently to her story, staring down at the grass in pity. He was one of those dogs that didn't trust humans; period! This was just more proof that they were selfish, cold-hearted animals. They didn't care if their "loved" pet died; they only filled the void with a new pet that would soon be killed and replaced; over and over in a never ending chain. "I'm sorry... It sounds like even adoption agencies these days don't even care..." he replied, shaking his head in disgust at the human race. "I was just adopted, and my family was nice. At first, anyways. Then my owner became abusive, hitting me by himself at first; but then it escalated to hitting me with other objects. So, I simply left on my own. I wasn't going to put up with it anymore..." Dakota explained his story, looking up to the sky in sorrow.

Dakota didn't mind not having a home, he was just sorrowful for those dogs that still wished for a home. They'd just end up back on the streets; in Dakota's opinion anyways...

Emmy Panted as the pain rushed up her legs, making her wince. she tried to be quiet, and not to make a sound. she Didnt give her name, everything was blocked. she was to focused on keeping quiet and not to screech with horror. She didnt even want to see what she looked like. Clamping her teeth together, she scrunched her eyes and felt another wave of Pain. wasnt there anyone to hep? would she have to heal on her own?

She didnt want to be stuck in a crammed cage, having a bunch of needles and hands being shoved at her, but she didnt want to lay in pain either. She felt Woozy suddenly, and peered up. Noticing Rookie, she felt a little better, knowing someone was trying to help.

Cracker tenderly put her head to Emmy's. "Don't worry." The strong, reassurin voice belined to her. "Please. I'm here to help. Tell me, love. What happened? What was it? A car?" WB

"T-Truck!" Emmy groaned, shuffling her body so the pain eased. Everything was Spinning, and she murmured softly, "I- Hit a Truck!" And Emmy started to wince again. (Sorry, not much to write, >.< I had to answer though.)
