Have some Percy. the camera hog up above is Atom, my bronze Oranda, and then Ryuki is ablve him. ^^
As of the moment, I have a 70 something gal filter(biowheel), and I'm doing semi-weekly water changes due to my calico(fantail. She would just be a regular fantail.) getting red patches on her body occasionally when I don't stay on track cleaning.
And I don't have a bigger tank at the moment, so I'll be figuring that out soon. Garage sale season is coming up, and I've found 1 USD 10 gallons at those. Maybe I can find a nice, large one on a stand.

I love yard sales and thrift stores for tanks. A lot of the time, people who have (for example) bought their young kids Fish and the fish (sadly) ended up dying, will just either sell the tanks at yard sales or give them to thrift stores, filter, gravel and all! I hav a friend who found several big (50+) gallon tanks at thrift stored and yard sales and she only had to pay $25-$40 each.
Me on the other hand....I never have that much luck.
But you just have to be careful and make sure that nothing is wrong with the tanks and wash it out invade the previous fish died from disease.

It appears that the seller of the male that passed is being a bit of a jerk, he already sent several emails back and forth to my transhipper wanting to know why the fish was even unbagged before shipping and saying that voids my DOA warranty and all this stuff and asked me why I waited so long to have it shipped from the transhipper... I didn't really have a choice, transhippers have a process and they arrived in the US on a friday and she doesn't ship until the following week. The fish died before it made it to me (or was shipped) and I have to use a transhipper, so tell me how any of that is my fault? And she said that out of over 100 fish that was the only one to die so it wasn't healthy to start with. BLAH.
On a happy note, however, the rest of my lovlies arrived yesterday. :>
The only non-plakat male I got had massive fins and he didn't tear them at all, I did a happy dance and praised him. xD;
I have them in temp containers (because I've been super sick for almost a week straight grr) but I'm about to trot over to the store and get some jars to get them settled in until after this move. I will take photos. <3
toboe, I've been meaning to ask you how your current fry are doing... I would love a photo update!

Whelp, I think I'm gonna give the Goldfish back to Petco. I just don't think I can care for them as much as I would like. I told my mom about giving to Goldfish to someone on Konko's {since she has to butt in and check everything first before I do it -.-} but since she "payed for them" she doesn't want to give them away for free. ugh. So hopefully we can maybe trade them for the heater or at least get a discount on the heater. Though I'm glad I'll be able to move the Golden barbs, Redtail, swordtail, pleco, and the neon techra school {I'll be adding two more today if we go. The'll have to stay in the five gallon until I get the 65 set up for them.
I've also been wondering about your current fry toboe. :)
I'm an old player from back in 2010 and really just on here to look for art
If you like any of the pets I have that are only uncommon/common if you send me a pun I'll almost certainly give them to you for free
Hey friends check out my adopts here : )Ps- If i ever had any beef with any of you i am so, so sorry i was an arrogant jerk of a child who threw a fit whenever I didn't get my way

I know I haven't been on here in awhile, but I am now, and I have a question.
I have a five gallon fish tank with heater, filter, bubbler, light, etc. I keep my betta in there, but I've been having algae issues. I clean it weekly, but I just can't keep up, so I plan on getting some apple snails- 1 or 2. Is my tank big enough? How do I get rid of snail eggs? Are snails likely to climb out of the tank?
I would really appreciate any answers to my snail questions. Thanks!
EDIT:
How many gallons is your tank? : 5 gallons
How many fish and what types are they? : One fish, male betta
How long has it been running? : Urm...I'm not sure. Around a year, I think...
Did you cycle it? : Yes.
If possible what are the ammonia nitrite and nitrate levels? : I don't know.
What is the issue or question? : See above.
And because I've been inactive, and didn't check the front page before posting...

How many tanks do you have: One/ two; my sister has one, but I care for it.
Type of fish that you have: Bettas
Your fish's names: Russel and Charile
How long have you had fish: A few years.
Also if you have pictures of you fish we would love to put a link to them next to your name! If you have a tank with a lot of fish you are welcome to just put a picture of your tank. Please do not post the pictures on the actual forum since they do take up space; just the link will do!: I posted a pic on the old forum I think, but I don't know where any are right now. Sorry.
