Ghost whined, shaking his head. "No, I'm going to help you. Like you helped us." He smiled weakly, nosing around to try and find something to help him remove the bullet.

Chako ripped a forked twig out of the ground and tossed it to Ghost. "Fuji. After this, we should join a pack," she whispered weakly, struggling to her feet. She walked over to the boy and lied down next to him, letting him stroke her fur.

Ghost nodded to Chako, using the stick to remove the bullet. It was painful for the boy, but it was the only way.

Chako helped the boy to his feet, allowing him to use her like a crutch. "We must take the human pup back to his pack," she said stiffly, ignoring the pain.


Rai looked around, his eyes dull. The pup he had grown to love had gone. Rako. He missed him so much. Ink too.


Lobo wondered were the rest of the pack was. Her herb store was dying out.

Willow stood at her family's gravestie, a small patch of dirt beneath her feet recently moved. She touched the ground with her nose. "Here you are, Rako." she said quietly. "Rest in peace... along with all my other failures."

Karrie growled at Apollo. "The pups have more sense than you! As your alpha, I'm ordering you to stop murdering these innocent beings!"

Chako led the boy to a small village. She nudged him over to a small hut, then bolted. She needed to get back to Fuji.

(( I finally found out where Fuji was from... I cried when Rikki died. ))

Chako nuzzled Fuuji, then turned to ghost, "May I join your pack?"

Ghost cocked his head, smiling. "Of course. I'm sure they'd accept you. I'm not high enough in rank to accept you in myself, but if you seek out Karrie." He shrugged, still smiling. "I think you'll be able to join us." He looked down at Fuji, grinning. "She is so cute. She yours?"
