well, we didnt find out about the pigeon until we started getting fleas on the sofa. My parents blamed it on the dog, but when the stench came out, they had to call the exterminator. Sorry, getting off topic, but i hate pigeons, they have huge poops and are so hard to wash out.

lol
to everyone who happens to be stalking this page: what types of aussie birds do you guys love/ hate?
i love rosellas (dayum their markings) and their chirps are sooo cute!
i hate indian minors. Although their chirps are ok, they are an introduced species and they are way to protective of their territory. I used to have so many native birds killed because they kept on ruling the area. Luckily a bunch of noisy minors, which arent that protective come and scared them away.

/totes stalking this page
i really like swamphens (i think theyre native but theyre really cool looking so its all good). and i really like kookaburras though i dont see them around too much. and masked lapwings look awesome too but i havent seen any for several years now unfortunately. and black swans are awesome too, as long as you dont make them angry.
magpies i hate. well, not really hate as such more like i dont like the way they look. they look evil okay. those beady red eyes and the way they hang around the house and my dogs food bowl. scary things.

My friends and I call swamphens purple chickens xDD We have so many black swans here! It's cute when they have cygnets! We have galahs, laughing kookaburras, maggies, willy-wag tails and.... corellas....
They're an introduced species to WA apparently... I don't mind them, but they are incredibly destructive.

speaking of birds
sulphur-crested cockatoos are so abundant in my area, shame they yell at each other incredibly loudly at obscene times in the morning. >_> There are also quite a few pelicans around, but you mainly see pigeons, indian myna and seagulls.
i live pretty far into the city though, so there aren't as many native birds. :C
