Rako made a small squeak like noise, nudging the crow to Fuji. "Nuu..." His body shook violently then went still, his eyes looking over at the horizon for eternity. He was dead, lying in a pool of his own blood.

Chako grunted in agony, tears dripping onto Rako's still body. "Another pup...dead because of me," She coughed pitifully. Chako was miserable. She had never hurt anyone before she met Teru and Fuji. Now every pup she met died.

Chako nodded and started digging two graves. She put Chiyo in the smaller one, Rako in the larger. "I"m sorry..Both of you," Chako whispered, "Rest in peace."

"Oh, but of course<" Chako nodded, digging Rako up. "I'll move Chiyo as well," she said, taking both limp bodies. She was digging Chiyo's grave, when she thought she scented life. No. It's just my imagination!
