A lot of wolves died out for good reasons. It's a bloody shame that innocent ones had to go extinct from human guns or lack of habitat, but it's hard to pity the ones we needed gone.

Needed gone? I've never heard of the world needing an entire species to go extinct!

uhm? it's called natural selection.
sometimes, yes, animals go extinct for a reason. it's because they don't/no longer fit into the food chain and can't thrive. it would be pointless to keep them around or try to keep them around when they're not supposed to be. if that made sense.

This world would be a lot of a different place if a bunch of wolves didn't die out.

Most everything happens for a very good reason. Any wolf that was useful to the environment {not saying the wolves today are not} and had to die out because of us for no decently good reason, now that's a crying shame. But, we can't really have the world overrun with wolves, now can we?
