She uses it to attract her prey, much like deep sea creatures are often covered with bioluminescent areas on their bodies. At night, she will find a nice quiet spot and hold out her paws; waiting and waiting for a unsuspecting moth to flutter by. Once it "sees the light" (no pun intended) it will almost always try to get closer to it: and unknowingly closer to her jaws as well. When it is close enough, she whips forward and begins to munch down on the little guy.

When and why do her leg X markings glow: Azriel's leg markings are much like her wiskers, they glow in the dark, but they also glow in the day, or well, when ever she wants them to, Much like a mimic octopus has control over the bloodflow in their legs and body, she has control of whatever it is that makes their wiskers glow. It isnt a thought process, and normaly she uses it as a little extra light in the darkest nights, or to confuse preditors in the day, as the glow is muted in the light, but stil enough to confuse. Her emotions play alot in the glow, extream happiness and anger make them glow more.
