quirk/habit;;
He is a terrible liar, and he knows this, yet he hides many secrets, ranging from his own to those of others, thus, he'll tend to flee from whoever is trying to get into any secrets, most especially his own, as if he is afraid. Sorin also tends to mumble when he is (or when he thinks he is) alone.
art OR story;;
Everyone is different, and whether they remain as they are, or change due to events is up to them. At least, that's the case ninety percent of the time. Now, what if you were to change completely because of something that happened to you, and now you fear it? You fear it to the point that if you spoke of it, your haunting memories will come to life and destroy what little you have left. What if it literally changed your very perspective of all that is needed for the soul? Food, thought, and love. What if fear was the prime conduit for absorbing these things and ridding them of their importance, and you can't recognize them anymore out of abhorrence?
Dread and dismay coming from seemed cute and kindly, this past of Sorin is nothing to be called light. Born to a lone mother, who has suffered from the loss of her mate and other children, a litter of supposedly three Lumiretts. Sorin was the lone kit to take care of his mother as she cared for him. She was over-protective of him. When he was young, he didn't care. But as he grew older, he desired something new. and he found that desire within a Moon Lumirett named Ephraim. He was a kind Lumirett that would always do....well, everything with Sorin. It would come to the point where the two best friends gimmick wasn't enough for Sorin. He yearned for Ephraim, he wanted him to never leave his side.
It was never to be accepted, a same sex couple within their cluster. Sorin's mother would freak, and Ephraim's family, who lead the cluster, would banish them both. So, Ephraim knew what Sorin desired, and he desired it as well, but they kept it a secret. They would feed one another, and play under the moonlight. It was cute, really it was. But there was something more to this. Something more sinister and more proscribed than the metaphorical forbidden fruit they ate. In truth, this was no more than a game. A game that Ephraim lusted for more than a simple relationship. His desires were pain. Forsaken pain of all kinds. Hypnotized out of the "love they shared", Sorin accepted this pain as though it was part of the process.
Ephraim would cut Sorin, beat him, and eventually, he began to ridicule the Fire Lumirett, as if throwing water to down the happy flame that was poor Sorin. He started to fear Ephraim. He felt locked up, as Ephraim had literally buried the Lumirett multiple times, and he even went as far as claiming Sorin was dead. So that he was all to himself, to throw his pain towards the manipulated Lumirett. Soon, the once gentle grey coloured being became a dark grey, a pattern of cuts and scars formed tattoos on him. When Sorin arrived back to the cluster, his mother didn't even recognize him under the dirt, scars, and willow that befell upon her child.
However, a forest fire occurred the night Ephraim became leader. The greedy soul commanded Sorin to help him, as his tail was caught under a fallen tree. Sorin was afraid of letting him live, but he wasn't sure if letting him die was good or not. It soon came to begging, but all Sorin could do was run away before the hate-breed was crushed under another tree. The Fire Lumirett fears his past, he's literally been branded with it to his own body. But he hopes that maybe someone out there will treat him better than those before did. This is what happens when fear becomes the sole factor in changing one's opinion. It's unknown if Sorin will ever be as happy as he was when he was just a kit, and it's even more unknown if he'll love again.
