Hello and welcome! Glad that you joined us but to start off, the Maximum Ride books are good. I loved all of them until I reached Angel. That book ruined the series for me but anyway, I'm curious, are you learning English as another language or what? Sorry I want to know because you said the series was your first English books that you're reading xD I'm currently reading The Da Vinci Code and and soon as I'm finished I'm going to read Beautiful Creatures

Well, norwegian is my primary language, but we learn english at school of course. After endless hours at computer and in front of the TV, I have learned quite a bit myself, and I'm the best in my class at english. My grammar and spelling isn't the best though.
I have never read any english books before (if not Donald Duck count X) ) because all the books I've wanted to read is on norwegian so I have no need to read the english version. But reading is quite simple (for me at least, who can read Inheritance in one week) so I don't think it will be harder than norwegian.
The Da Vinci Code, huh? Heard about it, but not my type of book. And Beautiful Creatures, that's on my list, but I'm too busy with House of Night and Percy Jackson. Only got the last book in PJ though.

I'm currently taking French in school now, I need the Rosetta Stone to help me along XD but from what I see in your posts your English is great. English is my native language and inthink that is really good that you want to learn a new language and start reading international books. Inheritence I recently finished (amazing!) and TDVC (The Da Vinci Code) is good though I know it isnt for everyone. Perch Jackson I tried to read but I think it is a but below my reading level and frankly a bit boring my friend suggested Beautiful Creatures so I got it and love the first page so far. (: what is The House of Night about? Vampires I'm guessing

My english is so good, that if one of my classmates have an english question, they ask me instead of the teacher x) Same with norwegian, math and natural science or whatever it's named in english. I'm popular because I'm smart : D
You have read Inheritance? When I brought that book withme to school, they gasped when they saw the book. I said ''It's only 1080 pages, no big deal.'' and their jaw dropped to the floor X) But I loved every second of it. Too bad I finished it two weeks after I started. Probaly less if it was a holiday. That's what happens when I love a book too much. Well, did you like it? Did you spend a lot of time on it? And with Percy Jackson, I know it is a simple, light book and it doesn't fit for everyone. I like it anyway.
And yes, House of Night is about vampires. If you want to know moreabout the plot, you can google it as I'm lazy.

That's great ^^ English is difficult to learn but there is no shame in being smart and yes I have read the Inheritence cycle. One of the best series that I have completed. It took me forever, after I finished Brisinger I stopped and read something else and Inheritence took me about a month or so to read. I can't find the time to read somethin that thick because of school and when I do I'm too lazy to read if xD but I finished it and glad I am. It amazes me how people can read a thick book like that in a few weeks when I takes me forever. I get discouraged that everyone reads faster but hey, at least I'm reading xD. What is the longest time it has taken you to read a book?
