Biting Her Lip
When Nuri is nervous, she nibbles on her lower lip. She does it without noticing, and will sometimes even draw blood. Because of this, she is often fairly silent; it hurts to speak because of her lip cuts.
Sticking Out Her Tongue
Nuri sticks her tongue out just a bit when she concentrates, just enough to see the pink tip poke from her mouth. It looks rather cute, her face looking determined and her little tongue slipping out.

Nuri watched nervously as the others crowded around the flicking flames of a campfire. They swayed comfortably, humming songs and laughing, a real sense of friendship in the air. Nuri stood on the outskirts, shying away from the snapping tendrils of fire; though she was a fire lumi, the actual fire itself terrified her. As one who lived in a region where fire was common, it petrified her to know that all she knew and love could crash down with a single spark.
The others carelessly tossed logs and twigs into the blaze, and the small creature winced. Be careful... she thought anxiously and stepped back. The flames seemed to taunt her: a fire lumi afraid of us? What a joke.
One lumi looked back at her and invited her over, but Nuri shook her head no. She cared not for the hymns they sung or the laughter they shared by the dreadful fire. She despised the fact that she shared their colors and was thus classified as a fire lumi and meant to take on the various fire-related tasks that went with.
The lonely lumirett padded slowly away from the fire and scurried up into the tree, cowering from the beast that cackled at her below.
She closed her eyes and covered her ears, attempting to block out the crackles and spits of the flames. She tried her best to sleep that night, she really did, but sleep never did find the ones who needed it most did it?
