Zach smiled and waited for her to lay down so she could rest. He went and sat in a chair in the corner of the room, he put his feet out in front of him and crossed his arms across his chest and closed his eyes before he knew it he was asleep.

I sat on my front porch as usual, my math textbook open in front of me as I did my homework. I don't know why I liked being outside so much, it was just something that had always comforted me, the outdoors had a calming effect on me. I flipped the page, my pencil sketching out the answer to the complex equation rather quickly. Yeah. The life of a nerd. What do I do when there's no school? Homework. Not hang out with friends? Nope, don't have any of those. Go to the mall? Please, me go to the mall. That'll never happen. I hate crowds. I sighed, great, now I was having conversation with myself. At least I wasn't voicing those mental conversations. That would be even worse.
