"A Story is Meant to be Told"

Khione is cold and unflinching for the majority of the time. She trusts few and is a bit of a loner, preferring the icy landscape to the company of her fellow WAS. It is hard for her to make a true friend, and it takes a long time to earn her trust. She has had friends before that have just eventually hurt her, and these experiences are part of why she is so distant and reluctant to trust and befriend any sabers.
However, when she does grant an individual her trust, she grants more than just that. Khione is extremely loyal to her friends, as well as being rather protective of them. She will use all of her formidable power and strength to help them in any way possible. And the longer she has a friend, she can't help but become warmer towards them, the icy barrier around her heart melting slightly.
While it's all good to be Khione's friend, you definitely do not want to be her enemy. Especially if you have hurt one of her few good friends. She is brave and steady in battle, but also a skilled strategist and planner. Her fights are won through a combination of strength and wits, with some snow and ice thrown in there as well.
Khione can be loyal, brave, fierce, determined, intelligent, and thoughtful. But she can also be aggressive, cold, scornful, detached, and angry at the world. She had endured painful losses, and has come out as an icy lonely warrior whose friends mostly exist in her memories and dreams.

Khione was born one night when the wind was howling and snow was whipping across the ice. The first thing she saw when she opened her eyes was not her mother, nor her father. It was the snow and the ice, the stark wild beauty of the north. And she fell in love with it, this unforgiving landscape of great and terrible things. And she has been in love ever since.
Her mother and father raised her for a brief happy time. They wrestled in the snow and slid across the ice and let the wind blow through their manes while they breathed in the cold clean air. But one day it all went horribly wrong. Khione's parents already knew she was gifted and her powers had already outstripped theirs, but it had never been a problem. Then one day they came across two gryphons. They were wounded and alone, having run away from a battle with the WAS, but they were large and ferocious fighters. It was a hard fight, but soon Khione and her mother and father could see that they were not going to escape with their lives unless something else was to be done. So they called on Khione.
With her terrible anger and fear, the young saber soon whipped up a blizzard. The wind blew snow and shards of ice sideways, so powerful that it made even the gryphons stumble and slant. They shrieked like the wind as the sky grew dark and the ice ripped at them like claws. The blizzard raged and howled for what seemed like hours, until Khione grew exhausted and the wind slowly died, the snowflakes growing fewer and smaller. She trembled, terrified and awed of her own power, her eyes still tightly shut from protecting them from the ice. Khione opened her eyes. And wished she hadn't. The gryphons lay still and motionless, never to rise again. But so did her parents.
Khione left that land and traveled to the other side of the world until she couldn't run away anymore. And she told herself she would never love anything again but her ice and snow and the northern wilderness, but soon she made a friend.
She lost them too. And so she vowed again never to love.
Three more times, she broke her vow. Three more times, she promised herself to never do it again.
No doubt she will in the future.
