She nodded slightly and rested her head heavily on his back. Her legs kicked under the water and she frowned. She changed her gaze to look at their destination and she sighed softly. ''Alright.. let's go.''

Chase nodded and started to swim. It wasn't too much harder with her on his back but he did go a little slower."How you doing?" he asked now halfway across.

Birch smiled slightly, kicking her legs a little bit but other than that she floated. ''It's easy I suppose.. But I bet that is only because I have you to support me.'' she said softly, looking at the upcoming shore. She felt the need to spring off and attempt to swim independantly the rest of the way and she was about to.. but once she looked at the dark depths again she found herself frozen in place by his side.

Birch lifted her head and walked a few paces inland. She looked around boredly, ''It's really calm and quiet.. Almost too calm and quiet. Don't you agree?'' Birch asked suspciously, squinting her eyes. She wasn't quite sure if it was just her being her cautious self or if there were odd conditions around.
